"Built in 1791 as a private residence in the fabled French Quarter, The Celestine marks the glowing return to what its storied former tenants—the Creole chemist Antoine Peychaud, responsible for his namesake bitters and a female hotelier who ran the fashionable Maison Deville hotel (where Tennesse Williams is said to have penned A Streetcar Named Desire)—would have enjoyed.
