"Galanga occupied a slim space in Roma Norte for a few years before moving up the block and into a larger open-air mansion with a beautiful build-out. A thicket of bamboo lines one long wall; there are woven orbs dangling from the ceiling and two levels of seatings on comfortable wooden chairs. Galanga, the defining Thai restaurant in the city, is steered by powerhouse chef Somsri Raksamran and her Mexican husband, Eleazar. The couple also owns Kin-Thai Eatery, which focuses on street food, and Daeng, a new Chinese-inflected restaurant." - Naomi Tomky, Scarlett Lindeman
