"On April 15, Glendora Public Market’s Limone opened a second location in Torrance. Co-founder and chef Luis Gonzalez, who spent years mostly navigating through hotel restaurants like the Beverly Hills Hotel and the Sunset Marquis, opened his restaurant in mid-2022, quickly securing enough of a loyal base to start plotting an expansion to the South Bay’s Enclave food hall. At Limone, everything is made on-site, and there’s a California Mediterranean flair on display with the dishes. Think marinated chicken served over za’atar fries and warm laffa flatbread, Greek or chopped salad with salmon or harissa steak, and chicken shawarma wraps. Opt for Gonzalez’s massive mezze board with traditional hummus, baba ghanoush, or tzatziki. Lunch is usually well under $20 a person. There’s plenty of outdoor seating with the bonus of other vendors, including Nook Coffee and HiroNori Craft Ramen." - Mona Holmes
