"A reimagined, non-kosher bar and grill from the same owner aiming to attract less-observant neighborhood diners while retaining some continuity with the previous menu—several steaks and chickens will remain kosher-certified, but many dishes intentionally mix meat and dairy, including a gumbo with shrimp, sausage, and chicken and a Swiss cheese–topped cheeseburger. The menu also preserves former favorites like sushi, rib-eyes, and beef short ribs and is inspired by the Hillstone/Houston's upscale neighborhood-restaurant model. It will be open daily (weekdays from 11:30 a.m., Saturdays from 4 p.m., Sundays from 1 p.m., with brunch to follow), expects a May opening after decor updates, and features renderings of a wood-and-brick dining room with white linens, leather booths, and Texas-themed wall art. The location is in Meyerland at 80 Braeswood Square." - Courtney E. Smith
