"At the Publix-anchored Hugh Howell Marketplace in Tucker, I found a new outpost of Giovanni Di Palma’s popular Atlanta pizzeria that features a smaller menu of the Neapolitan-style pizzas from the original Home Park location, along with a tight list of the restaurant’s calzones and Italian sandwiches; the Tucker restaurant is open for lunch and dinner, offers seating inside and on the patio, and has counter ordering. Di Palma first opened Antico Pizza in 2009 on Hemphill Avenue in Atlanta’s Home Park, where it quickly became a spot for nearby Georgia Tech students and for celebrities, and he has since opened additional locations at Battery Atlanta and Avalon in Alpharetta. Since establishing Antico, he expanded nearby businesses into a mini food village he calls “Little Italia,” which includes Gio’s Chicken Amalfitano, gelato shop Caffe Antico, and Bar Amalfi, and in 2015 he settled a federal wage-dispute case, paying $330,000 in back wages and liquidated damages to 60 employees of restaurants under the Antico Foods LLC umbrella." - Beth McKibben
