"Once a month, Alvaro Ruiz (aka the Bolivian Foodie), Fernanda Reyes, and Lorena Calderón organize a food tour around a specific theme. Along with 20 other diners, you’ll tour the city on a colorful bus, usually stopping at three locations to eat. A recent tour focused on Bolivian classics stopped at La Boliviana for a queso humacha risotto (with fresh cheese, yellow ají, and local herbs) and a mocochinchi (dehydrated peach) cocktail, then La Murillo for lomito a la paila (a hearty plate of steak, chorizo, egg, and fries) with sangria, and finally at La Rufina for meringue and passionfruit ice cream, paired with a cocktail of vodka, Campari, burnt orange, and ginger foam topped with spicy, popping chocolate bits." - Valeria Dorado
