"Expanding once again, La Pecora Bianca — which first opened in Nomad in 2015 and has grown to three locations — will open its largest, 200-seat Bryant Park outpost next summer inside the new Park Terrace Hotel at 18 West 40th St. Beyond the familiar antipasti and pasta, I note the menu will expand to wood-fired oven dishes and a pastry kitchen that fronts a take-out bakery offering paninis, in-house pastries, and seasonal focaccia, and the restaurant will also provide room service for the hotel. Owner Mark Barak says the menu will still include popular standbys from chef Cruz Goler such as gramigna with pork sausage, broccolini, chili flakes, and garlic; gnudi with sheep’s milk ricotta; and cauliflower with pickled raisins, almonds, and mascarpone. While the original was a rustic room and the Midtown offshoot had a more residential feel with bookcases and iconic photos, this Mediterranean-leaning space aims for an Amalfi Coast vibe with blue accents against a black-and-white room, promising an all-day dining experience and vibrant Italian fare." - Beth Landman
