"An Atlanta-based dessert chain known for vegan cinnamon rolls is opening its 70th outpost in the Woodlands area. The Conroe shop specializes in customizable, icing-drenched vegan cinnamon rolls—from the classic “Old Skool” to the cream-cheese–frosted “Cookie Monster” loaded with cookie dough and chocolate chips—and also offers raw cookie dough, fudgy brownies, cookies, dairy-free Dole Whip soft serve and other sweet treats. Locally operated by Gladys Moton, a former Aldine ISD educator, and Malori Moton, who has a background in tech, the bakery will hold a grand opening on Friday, July 8 with $1 cinnamon rolls (one per person) from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Weekly hours are 10 a.m.–8 p.m. Monday–Thursday, 10 a.m.–9 p.m. Friday–Saturday and noon–7 p.m. Sunday. This will be the chain’s 12th location in Texas and fifth in the Houston region (area shops include Cypress, Spring, Pearland, Sugar Land and a temporarily closed Tanglewood location); the brand’s founders appeared on Shark Tank in 2014 and once accepted an offer from investor Robert Herjavec before deciding to focus on expanding storefronts, and the company has plans to open in Dallas and San Antonio." - Brittany Britto Garley
