"A 42-year-old barbecue chain abruptly shrank from four locations to a single remaining shop after the Sunnyvale, Santa Clara, and San Jose branches closed on June 17; the lone surviving location is in San Mateo at 2260 Bridgepointe Parkway. Company president Kevin Roberts said the closures were driven by running out of funds tied to unpaid sales-tax liabilities, and that attempts to negotiate a solution failed.
