New Women’s Hospitality Initiative promises to open doors for women chefs | Eater Vegas

"Hosts the first Las Vegas screening of the documentary A Fine Line (director Joanna James), a film that examines the gender gap in the culinary industry and features interviews with top chefs such as Dominique Crenn, Cat Cora, Elena Arzak, Mashama Bailey, Lidia Bastianich, and April Bloomfield. The Feb. 18 screening on the UNLV campus begins at 5 p.m., and is followed by an interactive panel of women from the restaurant field and a culinary celebration. Tickets for the event start at $30 for UNLV students, $60 for general admission, and $100 for VIP; organizers hope the screening will spark a local movement toward permanent industry-wide change and help advance gender equity in hospitality." - Susan Stapleton
