"I'm glad Dupont Circle standby Agora brings its Mediterranean meze menu to Tysons Corner, opening at 7911 Westpark Drive in McLean. Chef Ghassan Jarrouj's menu will include D.C. favorites like kibbeh nayeh, grilled octopus, and braised short ribs, while Tysons-exclusive items feature tortellini in a yogurt and mint sauce and duck pide—a Turkish flatbread topped with shredded duck confit and a fig balsamic reduction. The new 4,000-square-foot ground-floor space in the Nouvelle building mixes blue hues with ornate touches—intricate basket weaves, mosaic lamps, and kaleidoscopic inlays—with all woodwork sourced directly from Turkey and design by Urbane Architects and Sorrell Design inspired by Mediterranean art and culture. The beer and wine list leans toward Mediterranean vineyards while also showing love for local beer and wine. Agora in Tysons will start serving its dinner and late-night menus immediately, with lunch and brunch rolling out the week of Monday, July 29." - Tierney Plumb
