"Chef Sylvia Casares is always aiming to teach, and this year, diners can partake in a public tamalada or tamale-making party at the Eldridge location of Sylvia’s Enchilada Kitchen on Thursday, December 19 ($75 per person). There, all tamales will be packaged to take home to cook and enjoy as a part of holiday celebrations. Can’t make it this season? Both locations of Sylvia’s restaurants will offer chicken, pork, and a combination of the tamales for $22 a dozen through December 31.
