"I visited the new Eagle Rock taproom, restaurant, and sports bar from Temecula-based Relentless Brewing, which sits along busy Colorado Boulevard right next door to the just-opened Penny Oven bakery and cafe. Locally popular—if somewhat under the radar—Relentless's move north is surprising given L.A.’s crowded craft-beer scene; the Eagle Rock space doesn’t brew on site but instead trucks beers up from the primary facility in Riverside County, including their Dank You So Much unfiltered IPA and Tequila My Vibe golden sour. The room functions as a full bar and sports bar (they show Dodger games) and even offers a full cocktail lineup using some of the company’s own distilled spirits. On the food front expect snacky items like salads, burgers, and fries as the kitchen ramps up; at the moment only about two-thirds of the tap handles were in use and the restaurant was relying on a limited evening menu, though workers say the plan is to eventually add lunchtime service and wifi to make it more of an all-day hub. Hours are to midnight most days, expanding to 2 a.m. on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights." - Farley Elliott
