Uptown Oakland Scores New Sports Bar from Team Behind SF Athletic Club - Eater SF

"A new sports bar in the former Izzy’s Steak & Chop House space will kick off service soon, offering a new spot for Uptown Oakland to watch the game — whichever contest that may be, with 40 screens and 20 “sound zones” in the sizable space. The new bar at 59 Grand comes from Ezra Berman and Miles Palliser, the duo behind Divisadero’s San Francisco Athletic Club, and in keeping with that name, it’s called The Athletic Club Oakland — all the more appropriate for a bar in A’s territory.
