"Rita Martinez of The Salty Cubana and Jackie Mau of Grey’s Fine Cheeses are kicking off Hispanic Heritage Month with an empanada-making class on September 12 at 6 p.m. The two-and-a-half-hour event will be hosted at Grey’s Fine Cheeses in Sylvan Park and includes a brief history of Cuba and Cuban culture, a welcome drink, Spanish cheese, and a guided class on the art of empanadas and Cuban drinks. The duo hopes to continue sharing a piece of their cultural identity and heritage with a second event at the soon-to-open Grey’s Fine Cheeses at the Factory in Franklin.
