Inside the Chelsea Location of Zauo, the Japanese Fishing Restaurant - Eater NY

"Japanese restaurant chain Zauo is opening in New York City, where diners fish for their dinner. Located at 152 West 24th St., between Sixth and Seventh avenues, the 134-seat space features three pools with fish such as striped bass, fluke, flounder, and rainbow trout. The fish can be grilled, tempura-fried, simmered in soy, or served as sashimi. The restaurant also offers a large menu with appetizers, sushi, rice, noodles, and soup. Zauo aims to educate diners about the life cycle of food with no catch-and-release policy, illustrated menu cards, and a "fishing license" process. It's popular in Japan with 13 locations and was featured on Netflix's Terrace House." - Stefanie Tuder
