"The long-awaited Chick-fil-A opening on Thursday, January 7 at 1100 S. Fort Apache Road will occupy the former Claim Jumper space at West Charleston Boulevard and South Fort Apache Road; the 5,011-square-foot drive-thru restaurant includes an outdoor dining area and will offer a drive-thru and curbside pickup for mobile orders through the Chick-fil-A mobile app. Instead of the usual Chick-fil-A First camping event, the brand plans to surprise 100 local heroes and donate $25,000 to a local food bank through Feeding America. This is the 11th Chick-fil-A in the Las Vegas area, located across from Boca Park and half a mile from Tivoli Village. Local franchise owner Bill Carnohan hired 125 full- and part-time staff; Carnohan and his family moved to Las Vegas in June after 20 years in Charlotte, where he would have breakfast at Chick-fil-A with his daughter Maryn, and his son Bryce worked as a team member through high school. The location is open from 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Saturday." - Susan Stapleton
