"Vic’s always delivers an enjoyable night of red sauce Italian food with a side of live jazz. The spot does the classics really well: veal piccata, chicken parmesan, pappardelle bolognese, and caesar salad. Some of the jazz world’s best performers pass through the next-door Symphony Park at The Smith Center, so you might catch them when they drop by Vic’s main room for an impromptu performance. Sit at the cabaret tables if you want to make eyes with the musician onstage, or hang out in one of the back booths and take in the sax solos. " - melinda sheckells

"Las Vegas’ cultural epicenter will welcome an infusion of arts when a new jazz club debuts in February. Named after the Fremont Street neon icon Vegas Vic, Vic’s Las Vegas opens directly across from the Discovery Las Vegas Children’s Museum and the Smith Center at Symphony Park, with a roster of jazz artists and Italian fare. The 8,560-square-foot venue will be a dedicated space for socializing, drinking, dining, and hosting performances of nationally acclaimed jazz musicians. Las Vegas Academy’s jazz program will make regular appearances at the lounge, as will visiting international musicians. The lounge is designed with deep green velvet curtains, walnut-hued wooden walls, brushed brass finishes, and cozy low-height seating. Sound-absorbing and sound-scattering panels built into the room help to develop acoustics appropriate for live jazz performances. Chef Miguel Magana blends Italian staples and American favorites inside the club’s bistro. Lunch will offer appetizers, flatbreads, sandwiches, and pasta. Magana’s menu features specialties like crispy eggplant with marinated Castelvetrano olives and shaved pecorino romano cheese, a chopped antipasto with crispy steakhouse potatoes, and sandwiches like the noble pig, with hot Italian sausage, pickled peppers, and spicy brown mustard. Magana will also offer shrimp fra diavolo over spaghetti and chicken parmesan, veal milanese, and porchetta pomodoro. A 14-seat private dining room just off the main room offers views of the stage. Vic’s also encompasses a separate glass-enclosed gaming bar and an adjacent lounge with its own entrance for sitting by its two fireplaces, watching wall-to-wall televisions, and viewing displayed Las Vegas memorabilia. A 20-foot-tall neon replica of Vegas Vic overlooks the two outdoor patios. The venue is developed by Porchlight Hospitality. Chris Lowden, Porchlight Hospitality CEO, negotiated a 21-year term for the space for $4.2 million. Lowden’s father, Paul Lowden Senior, is a musician and former owner of the Sahara, Hacienda, Santa Fe, and Pioneer casinos. Lowden started Stoney’s Rockin’ Country in 2007." - Janna Karel

Thanksgiving brunch was reasonably priced and had all the fixings, although we could have used some bread of some sort. Jazz trio was good (Piano, bass & drums) and added to the atmosphere, which justified the price. Overall, a good experience slightly away from the hustle and bustle of the strip.

This is a new restaurant, which opened early this year next to the Smith Center and we are so glad they did. This was the second time we have eaten here but the first-time having dinner before the show at the Smith Center. From the moment we arrived, we were treated like family, receiving a warm and welcoming from our hostess to the superb service we received from the restaurant staff. Most of all, we would like to extend special kudos to Jacob our waiter, who went above and beyond in taking care of our every need, thank you. Jacob was so warm, friendly and ensuring that we did not have to ask for anything. In addition, the food was fantastic and was served on a warm dish, excellent size portion, piping hot and cooked to perfection. We had chicken parmesan and the New England clam chowder, which we would highly recommend. And let us not forget the wonderful atmosphere inside this restaurant, first class from start to finish. Besides the main dining room, they have a bar area and what they call the sports room for walk-in diners. Which reminds me, be sure to make your reservation well in advance, especially on the nights the Smith Center Broadway Series plays are there, otherwise you might not be able to get inside. They also have a delicious dessert menu, but we were too full to part take in any after dinner delights. Again, we are so glad this restaurant is now part of the Smith Center complex because it makes for a wonderful night out, dinner and theatre all in one location, perfect. Thank you again to all the staff, especially Jacob, for a wonderful night at the theatre. With that said, we have decided this will be a new addition to theatre night of having a wonderful dinner prior to the show. Finally, there is plenty of paid parking right next door inside the City of Las Vegas parking garage.

Christopher was our waiter and he gave us excellent recommendations. He was super helpful and helped modify any dishes upon request. The nippers, fried chicken (signature), shoestring fries and Mac n cheese were incredible. Christopher really enhanced our dining experience and I appreciated his friendly attitude and going above and beyond to take care of us (we are from out of town so we really loved this restaurant we stumbled upon.)

The entire layout is Fantastic. A lounge, a bar, & a dining room with legit stage. Saw absolute top-tier Jazz talent while there. Service was real good. Food was fully acceptable. A bit disappointed that although the reservation system asks & I provided an input, nobody at the restaurant acknowledged it was our anniversary. Would’ve been most excellent if that would’ve been recognized. Not keen on paying for parking when laying out a couple hundred for dinner & drinks. They validate at the hostess stand, but that is for discounted parking, not making it complementary. Also note that there’s major construction going on right there in the immediate area. Everything around Vic’s is kinda tore up & very dirty. All in all we were thought the place was amazing, would & will absolutely go back again.

Beautiful place to dine while listening to the world class jazz live; which you can only find a few in Las Vegas, unlike NYC that has countless spots like this. The two dishes that stood out to us were the appetizers Eggplant, and simple Caesar salad, which nobody listed as good in the reviews, and on the contrary, we were shocked how NOT good at all the top two raved pastas were; Pappardelle Bolognese & Spaghetti Pomodoro, plus the appetizers called Nippers. My Japanese girlfriend and I concluded that we can never count on reviews since we have different pallets with extremely delicate sensitivity. We ordered cheesecake, and again, the cake, whip cream and ice cream all were awful, below the average, like they put the cheapest kinds on expensive plates. All in all we had a great time lol

Live jazz - beautiful atmosphere. Many options to enjoy dinner- in the main dining room with elegance / the gaming option - clean large bar with many gaming options/ lounge area - with many TV's and a fire place- first come and serve area. Friendly staff 👍

The best part about this restaurant was how conveniently located it is to the Smith Center. The portions were small for the price. The pasta was subpar. The service was mediocre at best. The only dessert made in house is the bread pudding so I skipped it. Ambience was nice and the pianist was great.

This place is great. It may be off the main Fremont street rags but it has amazing Italian food and superb live jazz music! Check the menu for Tomato Soup with a grilled cheese!! Sooooo good.
