"Founded and run by longtime Chez Panisse pastry chef Stacie Pierce, the Little Bee Bakery cafe — whose space at 521 Cortland Avenue in Bernal Heights had served as Bernal Bakery’s first wholesale account and hosted Bernal Bakery pop-ups every Thursday — will be closed as Pierce shifts focus to other parts of her business; Pierce wanted the space to remain local and to be carried on by someone who would keep it community-centered, leading her to pass the turnkey-ready location to the Bernal team." - Lauren Saria
