"A mosque and community center that has anchored the neighborhood since the organization purchased a house on Rhinelander Avenue in 1998; it has functioned as a gathering point for Yemeni Americans and helped concentrate community life locally. Friday prayers can draw crowds that spill into the street (as many as around 1,000), and the organization has purchased multiple lots on Amethyst Street to build a new 32,000-square-foot mosque designed to accommodate more than 2,000 people." - Chris Crowley
