"Dalida is where we go when we’re looking for one of the showiest Mediterranean meals in town. It’s located in a beautiful historic brick building overlooking the Parade Lawn. There's more put-together outfits than you’ll see most places in SF and there seemingly is always a birthday celebration happening. The menu leans into Turkish and Greek dishes, serving pillowy pita with tangy labneh and crispy tahdig piled high with trout roe and Iberico pork souvlaki. The food can be hit-or-miss—one night you’ll get perfectly juicy lamb manti, and the next, it might arrive a bit chewy—but the celebratory atmosphere, and creative cocktails like the Efendi, The Gentleman with tamarind, mezcal, and hellfire whiskey, make up for those dinners with a misfire or two.
