"When you grab a table at Morgan’s Pier in Old City, you’re basically signing up for a day at an outdoor, waterfront frat party—without the beer-soaked floors. The DJs are blasting Kendrick Lamar, there are over 40 beers to choose from, and it gets super crowded quickly. There are typical snacky things on the menu, like average fries, over-fried buffalo chicken pizza, and mushy black bean sliders. But you’re not here for the food. You’re here to dance the night away under the Ben Franklin Bridge and do tequila shots with the strangers you meet in the bathroom. In the summer it’s best to head here early (to avoid the line) and order enough pitchers that you don’t have to get the bartender’s attention for the foreseeable future." - Candis R. McLean
