"Omakase On Me in Lakeview is the city’s wildest omakase experience, and it’s a blast. Chefs hand-feed you otoro while “Careless Whisper” blasts from the speakers. Blowtorch pyrotechnics and puffs of rosemary smoke are commonplace. And the kicker: unlimited sake (yes, you read that correctly) throughout the $149, 16-course meal, as staff take shots with you and ensure your sake carafe stays full. Antics aside, the food holds up, with flavorful small bites like red curry with wagyu and eel, or juicy ama ebi nigiri. Some nigiri might be a bit bland and the caviar or uni-loaded bites might be overbearing rather than tasteful, but they won’t spoil the fun.
