"Pates Plus is a Haitian takeout bakery in North Miami that makes some very good pates filled with chicken, beef, or herring. The pates are really satisfying and incredibly flaky (so beware of crumbs if you’re eating one on your way to work). But the other can’t-miss specialty here is langue de boeuf—a thin, crunchy pastry covered in enough sugar to piss off an uptight dentist. Definitely leave with a big rectangle of that.
