The Dutch Review - Soho - New York - The Infatuation

"The Dutch feels like two different restaurants under the same roof. A bar area splits the dining room in two—and one side seems like a lively tavern, while the other provides a more subdued dining experience. At first glance, the fairly small menu looks about as straightforward as it can get, but many of the dishes have small, unexpected twists. You'll see things like roasted brussels sprouts with bacon bits submerged in creamy horseradish and a plate of black sea bass with shoyu dashi. Our favorite pairing is the sliced hanger steak that comes with a spicy neon orange sauce and crisped-up kimchi fried rice on the side (which is topped with a sunny side just for the hell of it). Try this place for a meal with your coworkers when a meeting that was supposed to end at 5pm ends up going until 7pm, and you’ve all realized you haven’t eaten since noon. photo credit: The Dutch" - Kenny Yang
