"Pop-up stand graduate Mascogo hosts a regular crowd of Agnes Scott College students, neighborhood families, and taco lovers in its Decatur brick-and-mortar (though it’s more of a super bare concrete wall than anything). While the tacos here can’t compete with the bangers on our best taco guide, they are solid and good enough for a quick, budget-friendly bite if you’re in the area. You can get three for $12, with 13 protein options like vegan chorizo, chicken tinga, and our favorite, the juicy barbacoa. Plus, they’re heavy-handed on the tequila here, so it’s a great pre-game spot to post up with a margarita in one hand and a chip covered in spicy jalapeño queso in the other. Food Rundown Jalapeño Queso It’s creamy, spicy, and better than your average queso. Papas Con Chile These potato wedges come dripping with garlic aioli and a little bit of spicy salsa macha.
