"Certain things will be recognizable to those who attended Sunny’s when it was just a pop-up, like the outdoor patio and massive banyan tree. But the real draw of this restaurant is now its dining room full of mirrors inlaid with golden palm trees, high ceilings, and big round tables. It screams celebration like candles in a cake. A successful meal here should include a couple of excellent raw bar dishes, pasta, and, at the very least, a flawless hanger steak. The martini options are seemingly endless, and drinks may be delivered to your table in an ice bucket with silver elephants for legs. Sunny’s has evolved and improved, but it’s crucially picked up right where it left off all those days ago: being the most fun dinner in town." - ryan pfeffer
