"If there’s an animal print shortage at Macy’s, it’s because all of it’s plastered on the walls at Jaguar Room. This small cocktail bar in Silver Lake is attached to Tacolina’s beautiful patio and doesn’t take reservations, so let the host know you’re visiting the bar and skipping the restaurant if you only want drinks (a decision we support). This cheetah-clad cubbyhole of a bar is illuminated by a disco ball and plays psychedelic rock, providing a fun and campy backdrop for meet-up drinks. And the cocktails are strong. The Scorpio Rising tastes like a gin-soaked lemon bar, and the Tobacco Old Fashioned fills your nose with smoky bitters before the whiskey burn hits.
