"Divisadero has no shortage of cute, date-appropriate bars (looking at you, Fool’s Errand and Mini Bar), but Gigi’s is the only one with velvet booths, chambongs—a bong-shaped champagne flute, obviously—and salami bánh mì. This place hits the sweet spot between a sit-down restaurant and wine bar, ideal for a catch-up you actually want to be able to hear. Stick to the snacks and European-leaning wines rather than going all in for dinner from the mostly Vietnamese-influenced menu. That said, the wagyu hot dog, which is sandwiched between a buttery roll and topped off with a scrambled egg, Kewpie, and pork floss, is worth ordering. photo credit: Carly Hackbarth" - Julia Chen
