GiGi's Wine Lounge

Decided to check out this new addition to Divisadero. It’s a wine bar that offers some nibbles. I thought it would be a restaurant that serves wine but the name should have clued me in. They have a wide range of wines to pick from at different price points which is always nice. The shrimp chips had added season which was a nice surprise. The ceviche had a Vietnamese twist which was great. Only wish that they had more chips to scoop it up. Suggest making a reservation otherwise you may have to sit at the bar. One of companions prefers beer and they had 2 choices: a wheat beer and another that was $20. He opted for sake instead. They also offer chambong (it’s beer bong but with champagne). Overall, it’s a good place if you like wine but be prepared to fork a bit of $.

I finally made it over here. I met Chef Tu at Farming Hope a while back, and he is an amazing guy. The food here was amazing. The ceviche was so tasty, and the shrimp chips went well with it. I then had the caramelized salmon. Salmon was cooked perfectly. I closed out with the basque cheesecake, fantastic. Service got 3 stars because it felt like sence I wasn't drinking, I wasn't important enough to talk with. Towards the end of my meal, Lorenzo did engage in conversation. I will go back and try that Wagyu dog. It looked amazingly good, but a bit messy.

Good wine but food was underwhelming. The better dishes were the oysters, ceviche, and hot dog. Don't get the Bun or the Mapo tofu noodles - super bland. Our server wasn't too knowledgeable about the bottles they offer. Cute spot though!

Loved the wine here! My friend and I did the non-alcoholic chamborg to start! Followed by a glass of white and a glass of red. The bartenders were very knowledgeable. We paired our wines with the "cheese board" bread and butter, tuna tartare, noodles, shrimp crackers and finally the cheesecake. We did not enjoy the food that much. The stand out was the bread and butter! The cheese board came with one type of housemade soft cheese, jam (you can buy from Safeway) and sesame cashews. The cashews were the highlight. You can't call it a cheeseboard if it's one cheese on it, can you? The tuna tartare was good, but the noodles were very average. We did not enjoy the cheesecake at all. My recommendation: add more cheeses to your board (at minimum 3), add more protien to your menu as well. This could be Deviled eggs, prosciutto, steak medallions, and definitely add garlic fries. Would go back in 6 months to see if the menu has changed!

European and California selection of wines to match. You do not come here for a full on meal per se but nibbles on Vietnamese food. I tried several items on the menu and my favorite would have to be the wagyu hot dog! I used to and still buy a hot dog 8 out of 10 times I go to Costco. Well, this hot dog is elevated in quality and umami flavors. The juiciest hot dog on a warm milk bread bun with mayo, pork floss, and furikake. A hot dog on steroids! Will definitely stop by again for relaxing moments with a glass of wine and a hot dog! I will meet you at GiGi's!

Loved the atmosphere, amazing unique wine selection and loved the food options! The hot dog and shrimp chips cannot be missed :) I'll be back

Popped by with a group of 3 on day 2 of opening - the place was buzzing and was great to see the newly remodeled interior after its previous tenant Wholesome Bakery closed. We were able to grab some seats after some hovering at the bar briefly. The window area is great for people watching. We only had time to try the mapo noodles (could be more flavorful), white wine, and passion fruit wheat ale (delicious) before heading to dinner. Our server was unfortunately very snarky multiple times to us for some reason and didn’t know the menu but won’t hold it against a new opening. The other servers we encountered were warm even on such a busy night. Excited to try the rest of the menu and return soon, happy to have a new wine bar in the neighborhood that serves fun small bites!

As a Vietnamese and a food/wine lover, I was excited to hear about this Vietnamese inspired wine bar spot opening up. My friends and I came in on a Wednesday with no reservations and we were able to get seated a small counter with high chairs. We appreciate the accommodations! Great cozy and intimate ambiance. I enjoyed a nice glass of white wine which was priced fairly. Among the 3 of us, we shared a dozen oysters, the Wagyu dog, the banh mi, and the ceviche. Dozen oysters: tasted fine for me but unfortunately for my friend, the ones she had were grainy and missed the mark for her. The banh mi mentioned truffle pâté and I couldn't taste any truffle. It was a good banh mi but overpriced for what it was. The ceviche was supposed to have a lemongrass taste to it per its description and even though it was tasty - I didn't get the Vietnamese inspiration I was looking for. Lastly, our favorite bite of the night was the Wagyu dog. It had amazing flavor profile with nice texture. Really innovative and delicious hot dog. Overall, it has a lot of premise but it didn't hit the mark for our first visit. I understand they've just opened so things can only improve from here. Open to coming back some other time!

Lovely new wine bar with great food on Divis! The interior is beautiful and they serve great wines and Vietnamese food. It's the perfect spot for a date or to catch up with friends. They take reservations online too so it's good to make a reservation online if you want a table. If not, they have bar seating. We ordered all the mains and all the desserts. The hotdog and the banh mi were really good. The mapo tofu noodles were solid, it was a decent portion size for bar food and I liked the tofu and the mushrooms. The texture of the noodles was great but it could have used more mapo flavor. The matcha flan and the basque cheesecake were excellent!

I was really excited to try this new wine bar off page street! We started off with obligatory champbongs followed by my favorite type of wine - a Lambrusco. I was really interested in their Asian fusion food selection but felt it kinda fell flat to my expectations. Nonetheless, definitely a spot worth checking out!

Checked this out and didn't have a reservation. We were able to walk in and get bar seats. Others were turned away as it was full for a bit. It's fairly small but really cute inside. Service was friendly but rarely checked in for more drinks or orders. Drinks were good. Tried wine and beer. We ordered the tofu noodles, tartare, and cheese plate for food. Tartare came out first. Only wish it came with more than 1 very thin small chip. The cheese plate was good but felt way overpriced. It was 1 cheese, 1 lychee cut up, 3 tiny pieces of jackfruit, some shredded carrot, nuts, and a couple thin smears of spread. It came with the milk bread but was a bit over baked. There's never enough bread or crackers so forces you to buy more or waste the food. So we ordered more bread which was also over baked but slightly less than the first plate. The noodles were the best part. They def had some kick with the chili in it which I liked but could be a bit spicy for some. I'm glad I was able to check this place out. Doesn't feel very Vietnamese but nice place for a couple bites or a drink

Okay but not great wine bar. I like the concept a lot, but a few things fell short of my expectations. The server didn't seem knowledgeable enough about the food menu/wine options available, and the salad my group tried was quite bland. I really hope they improve as time goes on because I see the potential!

Great vibe inside and great wine! The staff were extremely friendly and attentive. Recommend ordering from the bar bites and raw menu. If you order the ceviche or tartare, make sure to get an order of the shrimp chips! You have to order a chambong if you go and highly recommend ordering the Lambrusco. I would skip on ordering the hot dog and the mapo tofu noodles as they were a little underwhelming. Overall very fun place to go with a group or on a date, definitely will be back to try more of the menu!

Such a cute addition to the neighborhood!! I went to Gigi's on grand opening night and it was an incredible ambience. I love the Vietnamese inspired dishes and their wine collection is next level. One of the servers, Diego, was so helpful in choosing the wine. I'll definitely come back here for girls night soon!!

Wonderful new spot in the hood! The ceviche was unique and delicious; wine list had off the beaten path selections, each one better than the next. Service was great. Ambiance had cool art and fun music. Love GiGis!

Love the ambiance in this place! The food was delicious, I really enjoyed the noodle salad and waygu Hotdog! The wine list is extensive and really unique, some great finds and it paired amazing with the dishes. Great addition to the area, I will be back!

Was excited to try this new wine bar in my neighborhood and I was not disappointed. The Cesar salad was anchovy forward, which I love. The mapo tofu was flavorful and not too spicy. I had a delicious glass of Pinot Noir from Oregon (a rare find in California). Nice buzzy atmosphere sitting at the bar.
