"Alley Cats Pizza is one of our favourite places to get NYC-style pizza in London. In fact, it’s one of our favourite pizza spots full stop. Just like the original in Marylebone, this walk-in-only Chelsea restaurant has an effortlessly cool energy. The music is loud, the wooden booths are the place to be (if they’re not already filled with tipsy groups), and you might need your phone flashlight to read the menu. That’s all part of it though—it’s curated chaos. The Sopranos is projected on the brick wall, the red and white chequered tables are covered with huge pizzas, and everyone is having a great time. photo credit: Aleksandra Boruch photo credit: Aleksandra Boruch photo credit: Aleksandra Boruch photo credit: Aleksandra Boruch Food Rundown photo credit: Aleksandra Boruch Pepperoni (Halal) The crusts are nicely browned and ballooned. We’re big fans of the crunchy edges and slightly droopy middle, and this beef pepperoni topping is the one to go for. The meat is smoky, there’s some spice from the jalapeños, and the perfect amount of sweetness from the honey to cut through. photo credit: Aleksandra Boruch Tuna Bonito You know the Ortiz tuna that comes in the fancy can? The one you only find in trendy delis or a big Waitrose? Yep, that’s the tuna they use on this pizza. It’s great, but our only request would be that they use more of it. photo credit: Aleksandra Boruch Garlic Mayo There are loads of sauces, but our favourite is the garlic mayo. It goes with everything without overpowering the pizza toppings. You’ll need one per pizza, minimum." - Rianne Shlebak
