"Most people know The Alchemix is one of Barcelona’s most creative cocktail bars, but don’t realize it has a compelling food menu to match. We’re here to change that. The a la carte and €95 tasting experience are full of unconventionally matched local ingredients with plenty of zesty Southeast Asian and Mediterranean flavors (a nod to the owner’s many years in Thailand), all paired alongside miniature cocktails that blend weird and wonderful ingredients in ways that would make traditional bartenders shake their jiggers in disbelief (see: the fruity Isfahan Green Tea-infused gin served in a Disney-inspired teapot). The signature dish, From Barcelona to Bangkok, is a toasted brioche stuffed with punchy iberian pulled pork, served with a sticky rice dipping sauce and a teeny thimble of “False Beer,” named because it looks like a fun-size pint, made of scotch, honey, apple, malted barley, and a hint of toasted beer foam on top." - Isabelle Kliger
