"Transformed from a former orphanage into a lush oasis in the Lower Garden District, I was moved by the building's century-long history — including a stained-glass window that looks onto the street where a nun once waited for abandoned boys — and by how the hotel now sets 75 guest rooms around bamboo-filled outdoor spaces, an internal courtyard and a guests-only pool. Opened in 2021, the property blends playful and formal dining with a private bar in the former chapel and a French-Vietnamese café, and some former residents have even returned to celebrate weddings here, giving the place a poignant sense of continuity." - The MICHELIN Guide
