@newyorker

"Last November, Takayama opened the much more casual Tetsu, an izakaya in banker-haven Tribeca. The heavily designed space, with a vast open kitchen, moody steel-panelled walls, and glaring overhead spotlighting, feels a little like a Las Vegas-styled modern-day dungeon. (The name means “iron.”) There’s an extensive sake menu, but the food is the focus, and it’s remarkably hit or miss." - Shauna Lyon
