"I found the annual Overland Expo in Flagstaff, Arizona to be an invaluable resource that initially planted the idea of driving across the Americas. Held every spring and attended by a few thousand people, the Expo offers seminars and talks on everything from safety and security to camp-cooking recipes to border-crossing tips and tricks, and its attendees range from people who have completed massive drives to those planning trips and those who just like camping out of their vehicles. Being around so many like-minded people who had “been there, done that” made me feel like this trip was possible and helped convince me to pursue overland travel." - Matthew Kepnes
