"The 1920s Parisian art-deco inspired rooms designed by Andres Escobar, feature marble-inlaid Macassar ebony desks, chrome period lamps and satin poufs. The classic black-and-white tiled bathrooms come stocked with niceties from the venerable Village apothecary CO Bigelow. With a total of 113 rooms and only five to seven on every floor, it evokes the feel of a residential building. Some rooms have private terraces, floor-to-ceiling windows or cozy window seats, and many offer amazing views of One World Trade Center rising to the south, or the Empire State and Chrysler Buildings to the north.
