One of the oldest theatres in the city, Uptown Theatre opened its doors in 1916 and is a Minneapolis landmark with its 60-foot vertical "UPTOWN" tower and balcony seating. Since the 80s the theatre has featured the best in independent and foreign films, as well as screening cult classics on weekends, including monthly showings of Rocky Horror Picture Show."
