"National Cambodian Heritage Museum, Albany Park. The Cambodian Association of Illinois opened this museum and memorial in 2004 and is the only one of its kind in the world outside of Cambodia. Commemorating the more than 2 million people who died in the genocide during the Khmer Rouge regime, it provides a place to celebrate the survivors as well as bring the Cambodian-American community together."
