"Portland’s West End is a little quieter, a little more residential than Downtown, and this sedate atmosphere is perfectly suited to the West End Inn, a stately 1871-vintage red-brick Georgian house that’s now home to six handsome and unique bedrooms. The décor is classic but not clichéd, the comforts are up to date, and there’s an impressive cooked-to-order daily breakfast, an unusual automated wine bar, and, in the afternoon and evening, cheese boards and housemade pizzas.
