"This 1.1-mile trail, the park's most heavily used pathway, will be closed to swimmers, boaters, and hikers so it can be rehabilitated; construction is planned to start in 2026 and closures are expected during the 2027 and 2028 summer seasons, with the goal of reopening for the 2029 season if project timelines are met.
