An absolute gem! When you walk in, you'll need to go to the elevator and hit R for the rooftop. They have an outdoor area and an indoor area. We opted for indoor since it was cold but still beautiful since it is enclosed by glass. Everything we ordered was delicious. It is made to share so the server recommends 3-4 dishes for 2 people - the perfect amount. She was great. My absolute favorite was the chorizo and queso dip which came with a pita. So simple sounding but the texture was phenomenal. It's like they whipped air into the cheese and the chorizo and pistachios gave it a nice balance of texture. The salmon ceviche was also delicious - very flavorful, fresh, and a zing in the mouth. Second favorite. The seabass is third - cooked well and loved the crunchy quinoa but it was very salty. The empanada was my least favorite but I appreciated there was a lot of meat in the puff pastry. For dessert, Sticky toffee pudding was good but lacked toffee - needs more! I never really come to DTLA so I'm glad this is where we ended up. A favorite spot in the area for sure.

Complementing the cuisine, the drink menu is equally enticing, offering expertly crafted cocktails that pair beautifully with the dishes. For convenience, Cabra offers valet parking for $17. If you're looking to save, you can also try finding free street parking nearby, though availability may vary depending on the time. And could be a little sketchy on some street.

If this place was in OC I'd go every single week if not more often. This modern and slightly eclectic Peruvian restaurant exceeded my expectations. I cannot wait to go back. Everything we had was delicious and remarkably tasty. Well cooked, presented the whole shebang. Chicken empanadas, skirt steak and a side of yucca fries. Superb. Definitely looking forward to returning and trying the whole menu. Also, the location views and ambiance speak for themselves. I'm sure that's what most folks have date night there for. Salud

Buddy of mine suggested we come here for rooftop view, food and drinks and loved it! What a beautiful venue and loved being on the rooftop. Food was delicious, staff were very accommodating and the catch up with friends was wonderful! Definitely come hang out here when in town, this hotel rooftop is great!

I absolutely love rooftop restaurants, and this one did not disappoint with its two distinct sections: a bar area and a more relaxed sit-down dining space. We opted for the sit-down section, which offered a comfortable and cozy vibe. We started with the pork shank, which came with four different sauces and warm pita bread. The portion was massive--so much so that my partner and I couldn't finish it! The flavors were fantastic, and it was a great dish to share. The bass ceviche was a highlight for me. It was refreshingly tart, and the corn nuts added a wonderful crunch that really elevated the dish. Definitely my favorite item of the night. The papas were another standout. While I'm used to papas huancaina made with boiled potatoes, the crispy version here was equally delicious and had a satisfying texture. The chicken empanadas, while tasty, weren't as memorable for me. They were good, but in hindsight, I probably wouldn't order them again, especially after trying some of the other dishes, which were far more impressive. For dessert, our server surprised us with an apple dessert that was unlike anything I've ever tasted--absolutely amazing. A perfect 10/10! I would definitely return just for that. The only downside was the ambiance. While the rooftop setting was great, the lighting was so dim that it made it difficult to see anything. I ended up straining my eyes the whole time, and my partner even had to use a flashlight to identify the dishes we were being served. A little more light would have made a big difference. That said, our server was incredible. She went above and beyond to make our anniversary dinner special, and her warmth and attention made the experience truly memorable. 10/10 for service, and I'd absolutely come back for her exceptional hospitality!

Very cool roof top views were a highlight but the food, cocktails, and the service were the stars. Andrew made for an enjoyable night at Cabra. All the dishes pictured were delicious but wanted to call out the skirt steak. Wasn't the most impressive visually but complex and favorable sauce with tender medium rare steak was my favorite. The pork shark was also tasty, but the presentation was pretty awesome. Valet at hotel for $17.80.

The food at Cabra was impeccable and unique. There was an incredible view of the city from the rooftop, and the ambiance of Cabra was warm and inviting. I was also really impressed with the service - speedy and attentive! I tried an assortment of dishes, and every single dish was delicious. The beef empanadas had a flaky, crispy exterior and a warm interior. An absolute must try is the crispy pork shank, which is paired with a zesty, fresh salad to balance the richness of the meat. It also came with a warm flatbread. I absolutely loved this dish: the crispy pork crust was beyond delicious. There were also a variety of dipping sauces to pair with the pork. The chicken thigh skewers were yet another incredible dish - super tender and well-seasoned. I am absolutely coming back here to try more dishes since I was blown away by my visit!

How was this Cabra better than the Cabra in Chicago? Don't know but it was delicious! Both are great but LA was fantastic. The staff was excellent! Special thanks to the manager Victor and our waitstaff guy, Miguel. We had a great time! We ordered: Pork Shank- literally melted in my mouth Chargrilled Cauliflower- best tasting veggie in my life Tuna and tater tots- OMG such a delicious dish that is hot (cooked) and cold (chilled) at the same time. Hot Chorizo dip: started with this. So many dipping options with this appetizer. Definitely get it! We had dessert it was really good. We were stuffed! We also had a few cocktails. Visit and dine here you won't be disappointed!!

A few of us came here after work on a Tuesday night, and man were we happy we did! EVERYTHING was amazing! The service, ambiance, views, drinks, and THE FOOD! Absolutely no complaints. We'll definitely be back!

The food was delicious!! The skirt steak was my favorite along with the bass ceviche. It took a while for the server to take our order, but it seemed like he was the only one in our section. The rooftop vibe was pretty cool as you can see the LA skyline.

10 out of 10, amazing food service, and atmosphere. I will be back soon. The brussels sprouts are absolutely delicious.

Had a wonderful night with friends enjoying the beautiful rooftop views of the Hoxton Hotel. Was a tad bit chilly, so I'd dress more warmly if it's anything below 80 degrees! Our server Andrew was great and helped the night flow wonderfully! We enjoyed some cocktails, and a non-alcoholic beer for one of our friends I was pleasantly surprised by the Pisco Painkiller ($20), a frozen slushy drink. I usually avoid those as they're too sweet and too weak; this one, while not as strong as I'd like (I'm a lush!), was not too sweet. Good enough that I ordered two! Our table enjoyed the Chorizo and Queso dip ($20-I'm a sucker for a cheese sauce!), the Beef Empanadas ($18), the Papas Hancaina ($15), the Pork Shank ($47), and especially the Skirt Steak($37), which was super tender, flavorful, and cooked perfectly! 4% surcharge added to bill; valet downstairs is $17.80.

The food was good, but the service and wine list were lacking. The ambiance was pleasant with LA views. The empanadas stood out, but overall, I was underwhelmed and felt it was overpriced. It's an okay spot for a drink and a snack....

Signed up to try via Bilt (credit card) tasting menu. The place is a a sister restaurant to the girl and the goat. The peruvian inspired four course menu included a steak saltado (10/10) entree with the essential ingredients of a saltado but elevated. The sauce and tomato really shined in this dish. The potato was savory, has a crisp outer coating, and is amazing when dipped into the saltado sauce. The steak is also cooked to perfect tenderness. The tomato was juicy and flavorful. If you go to Cabra, even just once for the vibes (let's be real), try the saltado. It's so important that it's being written about first! Moving on, or should I say, back, the starter was a creamy, smooth avocado dip flavored with yuzu and tomato (maybe everything with tomato is just solid here? Just a wild guess. ) Follow by the appetizer (what is the difference between a starter and an appetizer?), which is a bowl of bass ceviche with sweet potato and cancha or toasted corn. The other entrees of the meal were the swiss chard and kale empanadas and woodfired sprouted cauliflower. To be honest, I don't love the empanadas and would prob skip it if I was ordering -- the thick flaky take on it was not pleasurable for me. But it's normal to not love everything and kudos to the veggie filling for not tasting bitter at all. The type of cauliflower used reminds me of Chinese cauliflower, which has a longer stem and more crunch to it. In other words, it is a very enjoyable veggie dish. I appreciated the way the vegetable was seasoned with mint and lime as well as a green sauce on the bottom. I also found it interesting that they added a fried grain of sorts (possibly milet ?) -- it complimented the texture and made it hard to stop munching on. The tasting also included two cocktails per person. Got to try the tropical cure. Loved how the ice cube had an outline of the restaurant's goat mascot the ginger gummy was also good. Dessert was a sticky toffee pudding (not the custard). In the plate, there's a plantain cake, similar to banana bread, with banana ice cream, chocolate covered plantain chips and a rum toffee goat caramel whip. The dessert disrupted my taste buds, I had salty, sweet, sour all at once. The cake and ice cream part was unquestionably good. But the whip and plantain chips carried some citrus sourness and perhaps tajin salt that took me awhile to appreciate and decide that it was good. Needless to say, the views of dtla at sunset from the outdoor seating area was really great and the servers were friendly! Overall fun credit card dining experience for $125 per person and while I question my financial decisions (don't we all) I don't regret trying Cabra at all. (Cross posted on IG @aycefoodme)

We took out our gf for her 40th birthday and boy was the view spectacular! This restaurant is located on the roof level of a hotel and it's so so cute. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. The style is tapas, so order a bunch to share. Some favorites: skirt steak, ceviche, kale enchiladas. We had the best time and felt like true adults. I love the real plants situated throughout the entire dining room.

The food at this place is amazing! The taste and fusion of flavors is the best. The server was nice and exteamly attentive. The restaurant is located on a rooftop, the view of downtown Los Anegeles is priceless. I would definetly recommend others to visit Cabra. Great place!

We ended up coming here during the week when it was pretty empty. The aesthetic both inside and on the patio was beautiful and perfect for a date night or a girls night out like my friend and I did. We always try a few things and everything we ordered was flavorful and delicious.

The food was amazing! Would completely recommend the crispy pork shank and the broccoli! The service was superb. They consistently came to check on us and the recommendations were on point. The ambience.... Rooftop in DTLA!!

Went to Cabra for a birthday and it was delightful!  Contemporary Peruvian cuisine from the same people at The Girl and the Goat (another restaurant I am enjoyed a lot).  Dishes here are around $20-30 on average and they are medium-ish portions made to be shared. We had about 2 dishes a person give or take and between 5 people this came out to $80-90 after tax tip, and drinks.  We got the a variety of dishes (pictured) but my personal favorite was probably the bass ceviche (never had bass in this form nor a coconut cream ceviche!)   The table favorite was the salmon hand roll, and if I were to come back I would probably order the cauliflower sprouts again. The texture on that was fantastic. The drinks are definitely on the sweet side, which is not my preference but the flavors were excellent.  Cabra is stationed in an enclosed rooftop-type venue which made it perfect for sunset dining. Overall, a great dining experience! I cannot speak to how authentically Peruvian the food was, but the ambiance, flavors, and ideas present in a lot of the dishes came through effectively.

Went here for a sunday brunch. Overall satisfied with foods, drinks, ambiance, and service. The only reason that I took off a start is that they automatically charge 4% operating charges. I do not quite understand why customers need to also be responsible for operating charges of the restaurant. The portions are pretty small so recommend ordering one or two more dishes than the number of people. Pisco painkiller - frozen cocktail. Tastes similar to pina colada. A good option for summer Bass ceviche - was very impressed with this menu. It was a true peruvian ceviche. Wish it came with chips to pair with the ceviche Tuna & tots - a good plate to share and easy to eat Chorizo skewers - 2 skewers are served. Very unique and flavorful Beef empanadas (not pictured) - 2 empanadas are served. Was probably the most filling plates from what we ordered

Such an amazing experience. The drinks were strong but very delicious! Ceviche, Brussel Sprout and Guacamole were DELICIOUS! Exceptional service but them prices will have you on your ass lol. Loved the experience and the ambiance!

I don't hand out 5-star reviews unless I really feel it is warranted and Cabra absolutely does. We met a group of friends there prior to attending a performance down the street. They were from out of town and asked for a recommendation. After having eaten at Girl & the Goat in the past, I eagerly suggested Cabra since I was curious how Chef Izard would interpret Peruvian food. Plus the rooftop location was a real plus. There were 6 of us, all food adventurers, so we ended up ordering way too much food. Among the items we had were the Hot Chorizo and Queso Dip, an assortment of Empanadas, Crab Causa, Papas Huancaina, Yuca Fries, some sort of Eggplant dish and a grilled mushroom dish. We had dishes covering our table and we managed to put away most of them. The highlights for me were the Chorizo & Queso dip, the Eggplant and the Mushrooms. I wanted to bathe in the queso because it hit every note and the glaze on the mushrooms was out of this world. The empanadas were my least favorite, though they were quite good. I've had empanadas all over Los Angeles and these were up there with the best of them, but that attributed to why they weren't my favorite as there was nothing extraordinary about them other than the tasty dipping sauces that came with them. The service was top notch. They server checked on us regularly, though I wish he had warned us that we were ordering too much food. We could have easily fed another table with our leftovers. I wish I could have taken them with me but we weren't going to be home for hours and the food would have gone bad sitting in the car all that time. Overall I am looking to come back again and take advantage of that wonderful rooftop seating, the great food and the wonderful ambiance! Kudos to Cabra and Chef Izard. You knocked it out of the park on this one!

Go once: Yes! Go again: Yes! Over and over again! Easily one of my favorite restaurants in Los Angeles. I've been here four times already and it has never disappointed. We try different dishes and see what else might be good, this time was no different. The ricotta was even more delicious than expected, but the standout dish was the chorizo skewer. Honestly, this is a bite of absolute heaven. The flavors are incredible. You get sweet, sour, bitter, salty, umami, smoky! It's outstanding. And I'm sad it's the first time we've ever had it! We also had the chicken empanadas, the bass ceviche, the corn and the yucca. All were splendid. We keep going back because this place is just so great.

Came by last month for brunch and chose to utilize the valet. Not very friendly and initially told us one price when given the ticket. After our meal they told us another price and said it is due to tax, but I've never heard of valet charging tax?? As far as Cabra, the rooftop is beautiful, not the best view with graffiti buildings but it is what it is. The servers were very friendly and shared they favorites. It does get pretty sunny in the outdoor bar seating and we saw many parties asking to be moved as it was hot and they have a lot of low seating tables that don't bode well for eating a meal. The menu is very limited but we ordered a few drinks- pisco painkiller, pisco sour, fresa froze, and LA dreamin- all great! As for food we ordered the tuna and tots, whipped ricotta, and skirt steak and eggs. The best was the skirt steak and eggs. Also tried the guava banana sorbet. All their food items seem to be a little extra to me, I wished it could cut out some ingredients and refine them a bit more. Just seemed like too much on one plate. Overall fine food, just not my style.

Oh my goodness, this has probably got to be my favorite LA spot. I'm a sucker for rooftop restaurants with a view, but this place exceeded my expectations. The food is delicious, the view is great, the vibes are fun, and the drinks are yum! The service is good, not great, but it's almost as if super great and attentive service would make the place feel pretentious. It just feels casual and fun and like you're just living life without a care in the world. The waiter suggested 4-5 items per couple, but I honestly think that was a lot. We started with the whipped ricotta spread with crab. I expected little wow factor, but when I actually ate it with the bread.... I LOVED it. I wish there was more bread so I could just go to town. Can we please add one more bread? I thought that nothing could beat that but the salmon hand roll party was SO good. It's funny because I've eaten so much sushi and tried so many omakase spots that I doubted a Peruvian place could make a hand roll well. I was wrong. The salmon mix was so good and creative, and the nori was actually CRISPY!!! My biggest gripe is low quality nori that gets overly soggy OR it's so crispy that it crumples from being roasted too much. This seaweed was a perfect texture. (I know it's silly to care this much about nori, but I talk about that super often). Tuna & tots were good for sure, but the salmon...... unbeatable for starter. What's really funny is that it actually got better. The chicken skewers were the best thing we had. My friend recommended this place and the steak, but I wanted these skewers and I'm so happy I had it. I got so full that I had one bite of the jalea mixta. I can't speak much of it. Best place I would want to come back to in LA!

This place had excellent views of course it's on a rooftop. It was fairly quiet on Wednesday night. The servers were attentive and always visible. The bar is open with lots of options. The menu was interesting for a change of flavors and all the food style so bring a friend or if you're in town for some meetings upstairs for a nice evening Food adventure, but make sure it's a night. The air quality is good and the temperature is not too chilly because it can be a wind up there. Enjoy.

Cabra has semi-indoor & outdoor seating. It is a great rooftop restaurant without the crowdedness. Portion sizes were relatively small especially for the price range. Most dishes were more than $20 and so were the cocktails, so we unfortunately didn't try their drinks. It was a pretty enjoyable experience. Valet is VERY expensive. $17 for the first 3 hours.

I've been to Cabra a few times but realized I never wrote a review! Rooftop restaurant, very LA vibe. For starters, I love the HOT CHORIZO & QUESO DIP, as well as the WHIPPED RICOTTA DIP. The BASS CEVICHE is a must-try for cold dishes. For something warm, I really enjoyed the SHRIMP HASH PANCAKE. ENJOY! PS: They have very overpriced valet, however if you're blessed by the meter gods.. :)

This place was a 10/10 in my book! The ambiance is so nice, especially for the summer with the nice weather and a great sunset rooftop view. The decor is so cute and feels very retro. The food was delicious!! I loved how much of a fusion it was from asian inspired dishes to mexican, etc. Everything was interesting and unique plus their plating and dishware was to die for!!! The service was amazing, all the staff were super attentive and cleared plates out of the way efficiently. Definitely coming back here again!!

I've been here about 4 times over the past 2 years living in LA and it is a really good pick for DTLA. The flavor bombs I get every time I visit is undeniable- very delicious Peruvian cuisine that seems authentic. I didn't love our experience with the hostess upon on Saturday. There's something so off putting about a hostess saying, "I'll sit you here but I need the table back by 6:45p," despite having a reservation. I've worked in New York hospitality and there is a certain type of class in my opinion that should be carried...like just say we have a hard turnaround here rather than how she said it. I ended up making a new later reservation (because there were plenty available on Resy) to accommodate for a friend who was running late. When we checked in for that one she was like "I need the table at 7:45p so y'all get 2 hours instead for this one." Lmao lady. I'm not sure if this is normal but only experienced that here and a year prior at the Hideaway in Rodeo. Back to the good, It's tapas style so everything is shareable. I however ordered the bass ceviche and tuna & tots (BEST DISH). Tuna & Tots: flavor bomb, it's a cold dish with tuna and square tots that are warm and crunchy quinoa tops the tuna. It's soooo good, a balance between a cold and warm fish. Get this. Bass Ceviche: delicious served with taro and plantain chips and an almost creamy like sauce. Very very good. The salmon skewers come on the medium cooked side so if you like yours well done you should state that. Seasoning is on point.

Cute place!!! The menu is limited and you need to look up pictures on Yelp before you go. Accepts reservations and we didn't have to wait at all! And the skirt steak was decent but being Chinese, this dish wasn't all that impressive. I'd try the ribs next time but the waiter said the skirt steak had more meat so I chose that. But the pork shank was great and had solid amount of meat! The breads that come with almost all the dishes are great. 1 less star because of the limited meat dishes. But I'd come here again for the drinks and the ambience. That part of Broadway is pretty nice compared to other streets in DTLA.

Sister restaurant of Girl and the Goat with a Peruvian focus. Came here for a NYE dinner with my parents and we had reservations for 6:30pm. It's located at the Proper Hotel rooftop and we had a nice time enjoying our meal. We had the hot chorizo and queso dip, bass ceviche, and crab causa to start. The chorizo and queso dip came with fried plantains and yucca as well as a piece of pillowy soft pita bread. The ceviche was super fresh as was the crab - I particularly liked the perfectly ripe avocado that came on top. For the mains, we got the wood fired skirt steak and crispy pork shank, with the brussel sprouts on the side. Both of the meats were tender and flavorful. The pork shank came with two salsas and a pita bread as well (the latter of which had a delectable crunchy mix sprinkled on top). For dessert, we had the sticky toffee pudding which had think plantain chips covered in chocolate and a banana goat milk ice cream. If you like banana, it's a good dessert for you, but it isn't as sticky as a traditional pudding. Our waitress was super friendly and on top of it. Our waters were constantly refilled and overall, it was a very enjoyable meal.

Went to Cabra for dinner and had a nice experience. Cocktails (3/5): just ok. Beef Empanadas (5/5): solid appetizer, very flavorful. Salmon Ceviche (3.5/5): good, but nothing special. Jalea Mixta (4/5): tasty calamari appetizer. Salmon Handoll Party (4/5): interesting take on handrolls, enjoyed the texture. Overall it's a nice rooftop restaurant to check out if you're craving Peruvian food.

We had a reservation on Saturday for brunch during the dineLA event. I love how they participated in this event as we could try different items on the menu for a more affordable price. I was part of a group of 4, and we were welcomed as soon as we got in and were seated right on time. We had the avocado dip, mango berry salad and the skirt steak and eggs. I love the creamy avocado with the chili mixed in, the taro and plantain chips added the right amount of crunch. The mango pineapple berry salad was delicious, it tasted sweet enough to be a dessert for me but the sourness of the lime paired well with the coconut flavor and yogurt. The wood fire skirt steak was a bit tough, but the flavor was delicious! The service was wonderful from beginning to end. I absolutely love the rooftop setting and the view is amazing. Would recommend coming here and I will definitely be returning!

As part of my Christmas/Chanukah present from Michael, Michael and I roamed around the Emmy red carpet bumping into Trevor Noah, Rupaul, and others we recognized or mostly didn't recognize, then to the Grammy Museum to see the 50 Years of Hip Hop, Shakira and Roxy Club exhibits. Afterward, we went to the Cabra LA Peruvian Japanese restaurant on the roof of the Huxton Hotel on Broadway. Beautiful indoor and outdoor space with an American Peruvian/Japanese tapas shared plate menu that contained many gluten free options for me. I started with a Pisco Painkiller cocktail - Pisco, rum, mango, pineapple and coconut and Michael had a California Dreamin'- tequila pomegranate and ginger cocktail. We shared a salmon ceviche and an avocado dip with plantain and taro chips. Both were delicious. Then we split a chorizo skewer with a magical topping that was so superb, the best I've ever had, I had to tell the chef behind the long open glasses kitchen how great this dish was prepared. Michael had chicken empanadas with a chimichurri sauce that I know he wanted to drink after dipping his empanadas. We shared a side of corn, cotilija cheese, lime and cilantro that was excellent finishing each with cappuccinos. A brilliant meal with many varied flavors and a view of downtown LA.

Cabra does a stellar job of encompassing LA vibes. It's located at The Hoxton hotel roof top, providing a skyline view of LA. I came with a friend during Dine LA and we both left stuffed! Our reservation was right before sunset so that we could see the sun setting during our dinner. The food was amazing. Our server explained everything very well and made sure we were satisfied throughout the meal.

If you've been to Girl and the Goat: Cabra is VERY similar. Tomatoes, blue berries, pork, sea bass etc.. it's a bit more latin feeling but not as good. It's also a very different vibe. It's on the roof of The Hoxton Hotel in the Art District and next to its pool area. So you DO NOT need to dress up. It's very casual, where as Girl and The Goat is more dressy. The pork shank was the highlight. Perfectly cooked. The toffee cake for dessert was heavenly. 2 cocktails and 16% tip+ 4% surcharge and the bill was 190$ for 2. 1 appetizer, 1 salad, pork shank and dessert.

Great location and view for sure. But parking in DTLA can be tricky. We had reservations for table of 4, but it took them almost an hour to make our table ready. They were very thoughtful and gave us some appetizer while we were waiting around the pool area. We took many good pictures. The service for our table was not spectacular and I think this is a new trend first hippie vibe places. The menu was very interesting and creative. Overall pretty pricy which is understandable for the location but I expected a little better service and music for that price.

Fourth time to Cabra and the food is just as tasty and consistent as always. Celebrated my cousins birthday and everyone loved what they had. Great food, great ambiance, great service.

He made reservations to this Peruvian restaurant located in the downtown LA, at a walking distance from hotel Indigo. We had a late lunch so we just ordered entrees and no appetizers. I got the ceviche and he got the lomo saltado. He was pleased w his food. I wasn't impressed with the ceviche, the ingredients did not taste fresh (ie fish and onions). The red onions were soft and not complementing the dish. The beverages we ordered were good. The interior decor is inviting and aesthetic. The staff was attentive and helpful. Not sure if I'll ever consider giving it a second chance.

Caught golden hour and the sunset here the other night and the views were great! Dinner service was wonderful, the food was so fresh and delicious! The drinks were amazing (try the pisco and rum painkiller). I'm a Peruvian immigrant and I have to say, this is the best causa I've had in Los Angeles!! While their version of the dish is not made traditionally, it is very elevated! The crab was fresh, the huacatay aoli was superb and a fun treat, and the tempura bits were a nice addition. I could have eaten 5 more causas! Couldn't get enough! I also had the ceviche and there were vegetarian/vegan options for my husband. Don't sleep on the sweet potato picarones!

A lovely rooftop dinner spot. We had gone here after trying the Girl and the Goat and got a similar quality experience from the sister restaurant. The flavors pop just as well here as they do there, but with a more pointed Peruvian flavor. The sticky toffee pudding was great.

Cabra is one of my top places for those skyline and rooftop sunset views in DTLA. What's better? Amazing food with their mesmerizing view. I came to Cabra a few times and came to celebrate a friend's birthday this time. We made a reservation for a Friday night and it was the perfect time to catch the sunset. It is definitely one of my favorite restaurants from Chef Stephanie Izard's creations. -- Limorange You Did [5/5]: I love citrusy cocktails so this was perfect for me. -- Avocado Dip [3/5]: I thought that this dip did not really impress me, it was lacking avocado flavors. -- Hot Chorizo & Queso Dip [5/5]: SO FLAVORFUL. This dip came out piping hot with taro chips, plantain chips, and flatbread. The flatbread is so good and soft! It reminded me of a chili con queso dip. -- Tuna & Tots [5/5]: I love that they added quinoa to this dish for that extra crunchiness. The tuna did not have any fishy taste to it, which was great. -- Quinoa Beet Salad [5/5]: YUM. SO REFRESHING. The quinoa had a nice crunch to it. It was immaculate and all the flavors paired so well together. I always think about Cabra's quinoa beet salad and it is one of my must-order items at Cabra. I usually do not order salads at restaurants, but this one is a MUST. -- Chicken Thigh Skewers [5/5]: The aji panca sauce on top of the chicken thigh skewer was delicious. -- Roasted Mary's Half Hen [3/5]: I thought that the chicken was a bit dry. -- Wood-Fired Skirt Steak [4/5]: The steak was tender and cooked perfectly. -- Wood-Fried Cauliflower [3/5]: The cauliflower had a tangy taste to it. It was too dry and too charred for me. I highly recommend Cabra to celebrate a special occasion with great views and delicious food!

I've had the pleasure of coming to Cabra LA twice so far and had a great experience both times! It was very easy to make online reservations by visiting their website within a day. However, if you make reservations, they do take your card in case you cancel last minute. If you're planning on having an early dinner before 6pm, then I probably wouldn't bother making reservations online. You can probably show up as a walk-in. The restaurant is at the rooftop of The Hoxton Hotel and they offer valet parking at the hotel's entrance, but you can also try finding parking at closeby lots around the block on Broadway. The parking lot is about $10-20, depending on the time of the day. Once you get out of the elevator, make a right to find the hostess table to check you in. The restaurant is divided into two areas, one side has open and not covered seating and bar area and another side has semi-covered seating. It does get a breezy at night, so I would recommend bringing a jacket to cover up for dinner. Bring a sunhat if you also get sunburned easily. I really enjoyed all the dishes! This was my first time trying Peruvian -fusion food. I really liked how every dish had a mix of textures and really brought about all the different flavors. My favorite dish is the Tuna and Tots, it's a must-order!

Definitely the cutest spot for date night or girls night out, rooftop - either enclosed or open air/bar. Personally, I preferred the enclosed area (roof above my head), dimmer lights, more spacing between tables. The open air/bar, we took a peek of it after dinner, and it looked more crowded. Of course, I arrived earlier, got seated and started on drinks. The cocktails!!!! They were so good. Well balanced cocktails, definitely strong drinks. I got Pass the Honey and Tropical Cure. Bestie haven't arrived yet, so I decided it's time to order food. It was the last day for DineLA, the temptation was real, but I wasn't hungry enough to eat everything. So, I just ordered a few dishes. Recommended Yuca Fries Chicken Thigh Skewers It's was okay- nothing much to remember Bass Ceviche Definitely will return to try out the other items on the menu. Parking is valet ($13-$15, I can't remember), street parking (look at the sign, may be free after 8pm).

Came here during for DineLA for the Fall. There is valet parking but we didn't wanna pay so we circled out around and found free street parking about a 6 min walk away so not too bad. The restaurants is on the rooftop so we took an elevator up. It was very busy when we went cuz even tho we had a reservation it was still a 15 min wait before we got seated. Of course we went with the DineLA menu. The concept was small plates so we had a few choices and options but we went with the below and I've rated each dish: Avocado Dip (3.5/5): this was ok, not much avocado flavor Bass Ceviche (4/5): very good! Love the leche de Tigre sauce but wish it came with some chips to dip it in. We actually used the chips that came with the avocado dip but it was such small amount. Chicken thigh skewers (4.5/5): loved the char on this and it was super juicy! Peanut sauce was tasty as well! Chorizo skewers (4/5): this was good too but not as tasty as the chicken. It had a nice char as well. Wood-fired skirt steak (5/5): absolute star of the night! This plate was pretty much licked clean by the time we were done. The steak had a great sear but still a tender and juicy medium rare. Those house potato tots were also incredible. But that sauce, I wish I could buy a bottle of it. Wood-fired sprouted cauliflower (2.5/5): cauliflower is not my favorite veggie and I felt like it was a little burnt so had a bitter flavor. It was also too plain on its own. Would not order this again. Picarones (4/5): great way to end the night with these donuts! Loved the dulce de leche sauce. Definitely would come back again and DineLA was a great way to try out different dishes and pretty good deal ($65/pp before tax and tip) for what you get. I wish service identified what the dishes were when it was served cuz it was out of order from the menu and we kind of had to guess unless it was obvious.

I was there last night for the first time for a work event and it was a wonderful experience. The valet guys were nice. The staff in the lobby of the hotel were very friendly. And I have to point out one of the sweetest of them all, Brandon, the bartender. He made me the most delicious Ki No Bi Gin Sour! Im just going to go ahead and call it The Brandon. I'm going to come back for sure. :) Overall, customer service was amazing and he made it worth the drive through skid row!! (No idea why my map took me through the sketchiest parts of DTLA!) Great rooftop view with heaters since it was freezing. 10/10 recommend. If you guys are looking for a fun and sexy rooftop bar, go here and look for Brandon.
