I was greeted when I walked in. The restaurant was cute inside with vegan decor. I went in for lunch but realized they had a selected brunch menu on the weekends. The lemonade was good. I was starving and ordered more food than I could eat. I had a spicy chicken biscuit (which wasn't spicy at all), side order of biscuits and gravy (VERY flavorful), and an order of potatoes. The potatoes weren't my favorite but was edible. I'd definitely try this place again. My total for everything was around $20 or so and the food was hot for the most part.

My sons, nephews, and I all enjoyed our food. We are vegan, but my nephews aren't, and they loved their food as well! And I'm sad I didn't get a picture of our brussel sprouts. They were so delicious and the boys were eating them as soon as they got to the table. Something for everybody. And the restaurant is so cute with a homey industrial decor.

Lunch with family. Ordered chili/cheese fries, gyro, burger, chorizo chimichanga and crunch wrap. Everything was delicious and tasty. Serving sizes were generous, enough to finish all, or save a little for later. Prices were standard rate for eating an entree at a restaurant, not too expensive. The interior dining area was cozy and no frills. Nice little spot to hang and enjoy your meal. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone, whether or not they are looking for vegan dining.

Google
Old school dinner serving an all vegan menu. We went during Saturday and had Brunch. I had a Monte Cristo with a side of devine baked apples. My wife had biscuits and gravy with a spicy chicken biscuit sandwich. The sandwich wasn't spicy, but it was fantastic! My daughter had the Cherry Cream Cheese pancakes. They were amazing! I ended up taking home a piece of carrot cake home along with a S'mores cookie. All and all the place is a must stop for great vegan food in Indianapolis! I look forward to trying their menu again when I return to visit my wife's family.

Google
We found this place on Happy Cow on our recent road trip. The food was amazing!! All the best comfort foods that you normally can't get when you're vegan. We got fried pickles, BBQ seitan wings, a Reuben, and a crunchwrap. Everything was delicious and fresh, and it was such a cute building.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I came here for a vegan crunchwrap and left with a newfound respect for Alfred Pennyworth. Hear me out: I was binging Pennyworth on HBO Max (because apparently Alfred is more than just a dude polishing Batman’s toys), and I needed fuel. So I hit up 10th Street Diner. The crunchwrap was so good, I went back the very next day. Honestly, if Bruce Wayne had these crunchwraps in the Batcave, Alfred wouldn’t have had time to fight crime...he’d just be running a full-time vegan taqueria. The service? Friendlier than Disney’s version of the Hulk (aka “Gentle Green Giant”). The bathroom? Cleaner than Batman’s conscience. And the Wi-Fi? Strong enough to stream Gotham’s entire downfall while you eat. DC may be dark and gritty, but 10th Street Diner is light, fresh, and delicious. Highly recommend. (Also pictured is the gyro. Yeah, I stayed long enough to order a second meal...I probably need a hobby)

Google
Excellent, quick service here. The chimichonga was excellent throughout, with every flavor working to well replicate the experience of what it's emulating (a chorizo filled one, with cheese sauce). The buffalo sandwich was okay, no complaints about the sauce or the toppings -- but the seitan had a strange, distinct flavor of faux chicken bouillon throughout (which an actual chicken sandwich would not taste much like). Regardless, I still cleaned the plate because the sauce and toppings were just that good.

Yelp
Lo and behold, the great east 10th street vegan place! The only downside about this place is with it being a counter serve restaurant, the service is sometimes lackluster. Lucky for them, the irresistibly tasty food is what keeps people coming back. As a family owned and locally locally owned spot, 10th Street Diner makes a good impression of the east side small businesses. Along with supporting a small business, you can feel good about getting some quality vegan food. To drink, they offer a variety of small business made sodas for purchase. They also offer pink lemonade and have water. There is a small variety of what you would think of as "vegan" options such as salads, fried pickles, and roasted brussel sprouts. Here Ive posted a picture of my favorite; my favorite salad is the spring mango salad. A lot of their options are traditionally made from meat such as a spicy buffalo chicken sandwich or a tasty reuben. These items are made from different preparations of seitan and it's really good. This is a great place for a quick lunch meeting or getting work done on your own during your lunch because it's fairly tranquil on the inside during the weekdays, even during a rush. Moreover, this is a great place to go wether you're vegan or not just to have the experience. The food is phenomenal!

Yelp
Every year I go to Gen-Con with my board gaming group, and we have a bit of a hard time finding great places to go because 3 out of 5 of us are vegan. This place has been a safe haven for us for the past 4 years at least and I highly recommend it if you are in the area - even if you are not vegan or vegetarian inclined. I have tried several items here, for my most recent visit I ordered the Rueben. This feels like a meaty Rueben with tangy slaw and perfect toasted bread, to be clear I am of the meat eating persuasion but I would place it among one of the best Rueben sandwiches I have had meat or otherwise. It comes with chips by default, but you can sub in French fries as well - I have had both and recommend the tortilla chips as the restaurant puts their own seasoning on them and it livens up the chips. The restaurant also has a nice selection of canned beverages that are cold and ready to go. In addition, I have ordered the buffalo wings in the past as well. These wings are a little spongy due to the meat substitute they are using, but what they are lacking in perfect chicken-y texture they make up in the sauce. I find myself craving these during the year. I have been here several times, and have never felt crowded but there is always a few people there - this place feels a bit like you've found some kind of secret spot no-one knows about. The dining room is definitely big enough to accommodate, and their bathrooms are always clean.

Yelp
While my vegetarian best friend was in town I was searching for restaurants offering options she might enjoy other than a salad. The 10th street diner hit the mark! Their entire menu is vegan and they have diner classics such as a Reuben and BLT. The location is small but cozy and you order at the counter. Our food came out fresh and hot and tasted delicious! I would say you could easily bring a non-vegan here and still be satisfied.

Yelp
This place was lovely. You order at a walk up counter. I believe they have a rotating menu and they also have a beverage case featuring MANGO LASSI! Dreams do come true! It was so tasty. I've been on a tight budget so I just ordered a cup of chili. I will say, everything on the menu was really reasonably priced. I was with a friend who ordered the chimichanga and the chili cheese fries. She was generous enough to share the fries and oh my goodness were they good! Crisp, seasoned to perfection, and the toppings made it extra tasty. My chili was nothing special and the crackers it came out with were stale but my friend raved about her chimichanga. I definitely want to come back and try out more on their menu! Plus it's right next to Guide and Anchor which is one of my favorite spots in town!

Yelp
I'm sorry for this review, but I was really disappointed in my $20 salad that was spring mix, chunks of major and pecans. Their spring mix was sparse and just generally a flavorless salad. It was not clear to me that this was a vegan restaurant, so when I was asking questions about the menu, the woman who took my order seemed annoyed. That rubbed me the wrong way. I love vegan meals, and maybe I missed it, but I genuinely didn't know. The ambiance is general cafe like.

Yelp
Service was kind and efficient. Restaurant is very clean and tidy. I had the Reuben a few months ago and couldn't wait to have it again. I don't know what it was, but it wasn't as good this time. The pasta salad was average, nothing special. It needs something to boost the flavor. The gyro looked amazing, but it was incredibly salty, making it difficult to eat. I'm wondering what has changed here. I know it changed hands, but I thought dishes would stay the same.
google avatar

Yelp
Hmm, maybe I came on an off day? The buffalo chicken sandwich was all together, too wet and the patty wasn't the best texture, it was spongy. I couldn't finish it. The chili cheese fries were okay, nothing special about them. Maybe needed a bit of salt. I remember going here for the first time for breakfast a couple years ago and the food was better. Employees were friendly though, offering recommendations.

Yelp
One of our favorites - a must-visit for any vegan in the area! Everything is vegan We especially love the BLT and any other of their sandwiches really. The buffalo chick'n is dense and spicy - hearty sandwich. The fried pickles are great (Big spears)! Biscuit&Gravy so yummy
google avatar

Yelp
All vegan! What's not to love. Always something new on menu, today was a special menu with brunch entrees only. My chimichanga was sooo good with chunks of flavorful fillings. I guess I'm not sure what the fake meat was but it tasted good - not like meat. I also had a mango smoothie made with almond yogurt, mmmmmmm. Wonderful little patio allowed us to sit outside and enjoy the breeze.

Yelp
Me and my friends were in town to see Mizmor and we're going to go to Plantastic but they seemed close to except for order and pickup so we found this place and 10th Street Diner was legit. I normally get a gyro when I see then available at a vegan restaurants but they had a rib sandwich as the special so I hadn't had anything like that before and it was a solidified banger. I should've ordered up to get the fries because the nacho chips were the only thing lackluster in our experience. The women that were running the place were amazing and sweet. They had a mango lassi that was vegan and it so good. I tried a bite of the Reuben sandwich and it was the best Reuben I've had. The Buffalo wings were good as well but they were not battered or anything and were fried pieces of seitan but still yummy. Highly recommend this place and it was a cute spot as well.

Yelp
I love their cucumber salad, reminds me of the sour cream salad I ate as a child in Ukraine, highly recommend

Yelp
I didn't take a photo of my food, my bad. But suffice to say that the Italian beef sandwich they have there is incredible. So juicy. Their chorizo chimichanga is a staple, but we got the chicken version today. 10th street diner is in Eastside. There is parking in front of the diner. The people there are enthusiastic about the food they make and giving vegans and flexitarians that diner experience. The Saturday brunch looks great, and we'll have to try it sometime.

Yelp
I tried a few things here. Chorizo Chimichanga was very tasty. I didn't care for the seitan wings; they were very meaty. But that's just a personal preference for me. Also I requested buffalo but they heard "BBQ", so that may have contributed to it as well. Potato Salad was good. Brunch items: Blueberry Pancakes were delicious. 3 large pancakes. Definitely a lot of bang for your buck. Breakfast potatoes, biscuits and gravy were equally delicious. Spicy Chicken Biscuit. The biscuit was good and I like how thin the chkn patty was. It comes with cheese, which isn't mentioned in the menu description. I peeled it off, but would've avoided the waste had I known. Diner Plate - It comes with tofu scramble, breakfast potatoes, simmered greens, biscuit & gravy, bacon, and baked apples. The bacon was actually very very good. Unfortunately, the tofu scramble, greens, and even the breakfast potatoes weren't good. The tofu scramble and greens were a little better after I added hot sauce. I don't know what happened with the potatoes that day. The biscuit was still good. I know the other times I went, one of the owners was cooking. The last time (with the Diner Plate brunch), the co-owner was back there in the kitchen but so was another man. I assume the other man cooked my food and maybe that's why it tasted vastly different? Just a guess. Service ranged from excellent to so-so depending on who was working that day. I met the other co-owner, Karen, on one of my visits and she was an absolute delight. I get disappointed with inconsistency, but things happen. I'd definitely return when back in Indy, and when the co-owner is cooking.

Yelp
If you are vegan and are craving greasy diner food, this is the place to go! It has a fun classic diner feel with a plant based menu. Only negative is not the most friendly to non vegans especially who are not used to fake meat/cheese taste.
google avatar

Rebecca P.

Yelp
The flavor of both sandwiches was great! The service was quick. There is ample seating both inside and on the patio. Downside was the menu is not very descriptive so it is hard to know what comes on each item. Additionally it is not clear that the sides unless you do the chips are an additional $3.50. If they adjusted the menu or had a QR code where you could easily view more details I think it would be a huge help.

Christy K.

Yelp
Chill but friendly staff, peppy music. Impeccably clean. Ample pqarking. I don't usually go for meat substitutions, but on the servers recommendation, I tried the Rueben which was delicious as was the cucumber salad. For dessert I had a s'mores cookie, which was solid. I'll be back!

Yelp
This little gem is an oasis. My bf and his family sought out a vegetarian restaurant and liked it. I am not a vegetarian but love good food. This place serves up really good food. The folks working there are super friendly and helpful... they always suggest the best menu items. I wish they could be open later most nights and hope the neighborhood improves enough to make this a regular hangout.

Yelp
I finally was able to check out 10th Street Diner, and it was so good I went twice in one day! First of all, it's an all vegan restaurant. I am not vegan, but I do try to eat plant-based 90% of the time. Being able to order everything on the menu is just a peace of mind that is easy to take for granted. Not only is it all vegan, but what I have had so far is all delicious. For lunch I had the chorizo chimichanga. If that is the only think I could eat for the rest of my life, I would be happy. The tortilla was fried and had a good texture, and the filling was sooo good. The flavor was spot on, and with the bed of lettuce, tomatoes, and cheese sauce, it all just works so well together. After eating there for lunch, I immediately told my spouse that we were going there for dinner. He ordered the chimichanga and I ordered the fried brussel sprouts and the BLT. The fried brussel sprouts were nice and crispy and sprinkled with balsamic vinegar. My favorite! Then the BLT sandwich was also really, really good. The toasted bread and slightly sweet bacon was exactly what I would want in a BLT. It came with tortilla chips, which is the only note I have for the dish. The tortilla chips by themselves were just a little dry after eating some. Some salsa or something to dip them in would offset that and it would have been a perfect meal. The staff was friendly both times I was there. It has a cool, chill vibe. Parking is pretty easy as there is a lot in front and on the side. I really like 10th Street Diner and I cannot wait to go back and try more of their menu.

Yelp
I just love this restaurant! Every time I'm back home, I make a point to visit. I typically get the chicken and waffles, but wanted to switch things up and I wasn't disappointed. Thankful for this all vegan restaurant

Yelp
I love how every tiring is made in house and they use a rotating menu. Brunch is a staple in this house hold and I'm happy 10th St Diner serves it. I have honestly never had anything bad off the menu. If you're vegan or enjoy plant based good go and support their small business.

Yelp
Where do I even begin?! I absolutely LOVE 10th street!! It's sooo good and I have been coming here for years now when they were closed Sundays and Mondays and my heart jumped for joy when I seen the hours changed! This is one of the best vegan spot In indy. I have to stop myself from ordering the entire menu when I'm here because everything is so good. Fried pickels, Brussel sprouts, wings, all of the sandwiches, the gyro is definitely my fave, the deserts she has, the drinks, the sides, literally EVERYTHING! I'm going to get me some brunch today and I will be indulging in the banana pancakes, biscuits and gravy AND potatoes... I can't just have 1 side ... 15 out of 10 for me!! Not to mention the ambiance of the atmosphere is very calming and inviting. I couldn't ask for a better place to sit down and enjoy my meal. The staff is always very helpful and kind and the owner is and absolute sweetheart . Gotta love 10th street diner!!

Yelp
10th Street Diner is a family owned business that serves 100% vegan food. It is a cute red brick restaurant with spacious parking, a bit smaller than expected inside and has limited seating. They have a brunch only menu from 10-3 on Saturdays. I ordered the comfort tacos that consists of corn taco shells, mashed potatoes, green onions, vegan shredded cheese, faux chicken strips and gravy. It was very good and the mashed potatoes did make it comforting. My friend had the spicy chicken biscuit and both of our sides were breakfast potatoes. He really enjoyed his food as well. Honestly we really need more vegan restaurants like this in Indianapolis!
google avatar

Joan R.

Yelp
I have been here to eat several times and it never disappoints. Very cool vibe, great service and delicious vegan food! I was there last weekend and tried the chorizo chimichanga, which was huge and amazing! The wings are so tasty and the roasted Brussel sprouts were divine. I was with my cousin and she ordered some chili and a burger, and both were tasty as well. I'm so glad this restaurant is doing well, I look forward to eating here every time I come to town. Parking is dedicated and ample. The only thing that would make this place better is if they had desserts.
google avatar

Evan B.

Yelp
Nice little gem on the east side! The food is packed with flavor that you won't stop thinking about! I want to support this place as much as possible. The only downside is the hours of operation. This place would be perfect for a Sunday brunch!

Yelp
I didn't know it was vegan so I thought the Fajitas were gross and the cheese was weird. Now that I know it's vegan, they do a really good job! I stopped in the 10th street diner because I was on an unfamiliar side of town and this place looked nice. Notice I said looked? I brought up Yelp to scope places out but I didn't read anything. After a quick browse of the photos and the overall rating score I thought yeah this place looks really good. The service was great. But when I told them it was my first time there while ordering at the counter, no one said a thing about it being vegan. In their defense they probably thought if I was there, I already knew. I got the fajita plate and the fried pickles. The fried pickles were great. The breading was perfect. The fajitas...you know, tastes vegan. I won't be going here again but only because I'm a meat eater. If you're vegan, I highly recommend this place!

J J.

Yelp
This place used to be my favorite place to eat in Indy, but changed owners. They have some of the same recipes but many items are gone. I miss some of the salads they used to serve! A sandwich will cost you over $12 and you'll have to pay extra for fries. Overpriced, less friendly staff...just a let down all the way around. My first experience with the new owners was partially raw potpie. We sent it back only to be given more raw potpie. That said most of the food is good but it isn't the same.

Yelp
Well this is a interesting restaurant. It is a vegan restaurant that has menu items for us carnivores too. The restaurant has a small dining area with some bar style seating. They also have a decent sized parking lot, that was full when I was there and some picnic tables in a grass area off of teh parking lot to eat at. The staff there is friendly enough. They make your food right in front of the bar area. They do run daily food specials and have an "efficient" menu that includes burgers, sandwiches, and soups. I ordered the BLT with some brussel sprouts. It took a while for me to get my food. I would say about 15 minutes or so. My critique of the food is from a carnivore point of view. The brussle sprouts were over cooked and way to crispy compared to others that I had at different restaurants. They did have a good taste to them though. The sauce they were covered in was amazing. The BLT was a vegan BLT, which I was not aware. I was not a fan. The bacon was, ewwwww. Remember, this is coming from a meat eater. The sandwich just did not taste right. Even the bread had a different taste then what I was use to. The sandwich came with some tortilla chips, dusted in parmesan cheese. I would have probably opted to substitute them for fries if i had it to do over again. The strawberry lemonade they had was the bomb though. I do recommend it. Well, I learned that I am not a fan of vegan dishes and will eat meat till I die. Do not get my wrong, this is a nice spot for those on a vegan diet and is a very cozy spot.

Yelp
We came here on a random Wednesday for lunch and it did not disappoint! I am vegetarian and my boyfriend is a carnivore. We have both heard good things about 10th street diner but hadn't had the opportunity to give it a try. We got the chorizo burrito and the Reuben. The Reuben was one of the best vegan Reuben's I have ever had. The "meat" had great texture and they did a good job of mimicking thinly slice roast beef using seitan and I assume beets to get the red color. The chorizo burrito was very tasty as well. You order at the counter and then they bring the food to your table which leads to a very causal dining experience with excellent vegan food. I have eaten at a lot of vegan diners / restaurants across the US and I am very very impressed that this vegan place is so good and it's LOCAL! I will definitely be back!

Yelp
went here on a saturday. my bf and i were so excited to try many items on the menu and were extremely disappointed to find out they had a limited menu for saturday brunches. we reluctantly got the huevos rancheros (which came in about 10 min) which ended up to be really delicious. we would def go again to try the other items but would really like to see the sat brunch have more options. as we left my bf and i noted how cute it was where we sat (open kitchen diner vibes) and rustic building.

Yelp
Low key vegan energy. Finally got to taste the glorious food here. My husband and I went for. Date night recently and although neither of us are vegan, I am dairy free. I had the chorizo chimichanga and he the 10 street burger. They were so delicious! From the meat substitutes to the sauce, we could tell that these options were curated for people who need comfort food without the side effects of animal product (aka dairy). We also had the Brussels sprouts to share and recommend it.

Erin A.

Yelp
10th Street had been my go-to for vegan comfort food and Saturday brunch for years. Staff is always pleasant and prompt. They have a simple menu of sandwiches, salads, and sides but frequently have daily specials.

Yelp
Food was delicious. The restaurant is clean and pleasant. The selections were more than adequate. A safe parking lot. The owners were pleasant and accommodating. We're so happy to have finally found a great vegan restaurant nearby!

Yelp
One of my new favorite vegan spots in town! Stopped by this afternoon with my vegetarian sister and vegan brother-in-law, and we were not disappointed. The overall ambiance was very relaxed and inviting. The staff was so friendly and willing to answer questions when we took a few minutes to decide what to order...because all of the options looked so good! My sister and I each ordered the Comfort Tacos which are exactly what they sound like--all of your favorite comfort foods, including fried "chicken", mashed potatoes, and gravy, wrapped in a corn tortilla. My BIL ordered the Chicken and Waffles and couldn't say enough great things about his meal. One thing to keep in mind is that on Saturdays they only offer their brunch menu, so I will definitely be back to try out their regular menu items soon! Thank you 10th Street Diner for a great experience!

Yelp
Visit this vegan joint if you visit or live in Indianapolis. We found it on Happy Cow, and we loved it. We had the submarine, reuben, fries and the dill pickle soup. All fantastic. Not many places make dill pickle soup -- but I'm a big fan of it -- so I was excited to see it on the menu. Both of the sandwiches were made with seitan, yet the taste and texture of the deli-style cut seitan were slightly different, keeping both closer to the meats they're inspired by. The rye bread and sub roll used for both sandwiches were delicious, too. The staff was super helpful and answered lots of questions about their dishes. It's a fun little diner -- visit it soon!

Christopher A.

Yelp
Great all vegan restaurant. I got the bagel with bacon and cheese with a side of biscuits and gravy. Everything tasted good and the service was great

Yelp
Everyone should eat here all the time! Have you ever heard someone say " I didn't know it was vegan!" Well this is that place. Everything is delicious and reasonably priced. The staff is friendly and helpful. Put this place on your regular rotation. You're welcome. Note: they are closing early on Tuesday and Wednesday until further notice.

Yelp
Food made to order but doesn't take but about 10 minutes to receive. Fresh and delicious. Greeted with a smile. Cute exposed brick interior, real vibey. Makes eating a vegan diet so much easier.

Yelp
Finding of vegan restaurant in Indianapolis is like finding the holy grail, I didn't see this restaurant on HappyCow but by chance someone said well surely you've been to the 10th St. diner when they found out I was Vegan. The four of us went there, two non-vegans and two vegans. It was so freaking delicious, The staff was super friendly and welcoming. We got the half barbecue Thai/half Buffalo seitan wings, mango salad, cucumber salad, chili fries, potato salad-- everything was fresh and well prepared, just delicious for everyone, vegans and non- vegans. Such a great find.
google avatar

Yelp
Great truly vegan restaurant! Gluten free options too. Food was excellent and atmosphere is really cool. We had the hash and huevos rancheros. Limited menu for Saturday brunch. Margarita and mimosas were available too! I had the strawberry lemonade which was excellent. Plenty of free parking and outside dining available. Took off a star because it was very loud inside. It was too hot to eat outside. Heavy metal music combined with voices was too much. Only 6 people including workers and us in the building but the voices echo and made it hard to hear each other. 5 star food.

Yelp
Service is wonderful. Fast and friendly staff. This place is a diamond in the rough. Please go support this business! Signed, Not a vegan.

Yelp
I love this restaurant so much that I make the trip from Fishers pretty frequently--their food is seriously worth the time and miles on my car. I think my favorite so far are the Comfort Tacos: faux fried chick'n bites, mashed potatoes, corn, vegan cheese and a little bit of gravy. They remind me of the totally decadent KFC bowls from back in the day. Their chick'n biscuit is also amazing, as is their chick'n pot pie. Oh, and the ranch chick'n bacon wrap. I brought my omnivore boyfriend here for carryout one weekend recently and we planned to drive to a scenic spot for a car picnic. We decided to open our to-go containers just to take a quick peek, and ended up wolfing everything down in the parking lot. He's a huge fan of this place as well. Don't be afraid of vegan food, especially from here! Pro tip: give them a call if there's something on their menu you really want, because they often sell out of things--which is AWESOME, but also can be a little heartbreaking when you have your heart set on something. I've never disliked any of my entrees from 10th Street, so you'd be safe going with your second choice. Pro tip 2: follow them on Facebook. They do a great job of posting their daily menu, and you can also easily check to see which days they're open.

Yelp
Monte Cristo. Excellent place to stop for vegan brunch in Indy. Diner is probably one of the best but it might be the only vegan brunch place , I will have to research that. Either way the place is great. Quick service when went. The monte cristo has vegan egg, waffle and bacon and vegan chicken, which is one of the best vegan chicken I have had . It was flavorful and not bland, and so was the biscuits and gravy. The really excel at vegan dishes and I am looking forward to coming back to Indy to eat here.

Yelp
DON'T BE FOOLED: The sign says "Diner," but nothing about this place should be connected with the concepts of dining or food! Literally, the most disgusting "restaurant" experience I've ever had. I ordered the "Spicy Chicken" sandwich with biscuits and gravy as a side. My wife got the Monte Cristo sandwich. While waiting an HOUR for our pre-made vile substances, I noticed a guy taste his potatoes and Monte Cristo, then just let it sit on the plate for 30 minutes. Eventually when they were cruel enough to bring our orders, I found out why. It looked like food, it looked like meat, it even kind of looked like gravy. It was not. I'm a big eater who never leaves food (especially if it's grossly overpriced like this was). I couldn't eat even half. I never imagined making this recommendation, but, do yourself a favor and go to McDonald's. PS - Yelp forced me to give this 1 star, but minus 20 wouldn't adequately describe this experience.

Yelp
This Vegan Diner is located on 10th Street in Indianapolis (in between 9th and 11th). I'm not a local but this popped up on the radar when searching for somewhere to eat. The later hours (till 9p I think on a weeknight) are the reason we came here over another place. Let me say I am so glad that place closed at 8p! 10th Street Diner is amazing. They have a chalkboard menu that appears to change a bit based on the various pictures. I'm not sure if they have any staple items, but I'd say look at the pics and see what's on all of them. I love Mexican food so the Chicken Chimichanga was a must for me, as that's my favorite Mexican item. The chimi was good, not too crispy where it shattered, and had a nice filling of fake chicken and other stuff. It was hot and fresh and. We were hungry as it was late and this was dinner, so me and my co-worker also split a submarine sandwich, which the woman taking orders recommended. This sub may have been one of the best things I've eaten since adopting a vegan cuisine. OMG the flavors in this thing were amazing. I thought about getting another one even though I was full. The potato salad tasted like the homemade potato salads I grew up with. It was creamy and not dry. The banana cookie was a nice ending to the meal, but it wasn't another sub sandwich. If I went again, I would always get that! That's how good it was. Thanks to the staff for making such a great meal for us and keep the later hours for hungry, weary travelers. If you're unsure what to get, ask as they definitely were on point with the sub.

Yelp
The gyro was delicious! I'll be back to try something else for sure. I heard the rueben is good, too.

Yelp
I was surprised how delicious the food was, I didn't realize it was vegan until I went. Will definitely make it a regular stop!

Yelp
The food was awesome, affordable, and so filling! The interior was clean and the staff were so friendly. Our To-go order took no more than 7 minutes of waiting. We tried their chili, Reuben with Portobello, and Chorizo Chimichanga. All were to die for! Update: We've now made 10th street diner a regular go-to for our meals. We were surprised to find they often have dessert available like chocolate cake and cupcakes, which are so moist and flavorful. Can't say enough great things about this place! A must try on the near east side.

Yelp
Calling all vegans! This is your new spot. Located on the east side of Indy, this is a new, little restaurant in a developing area. Love when owners take a leap to support a neighborhood and bring people there. The staff were nice and welcomed us instantly. They walked us through a few of their menu favorites and patiently waited for us to choose. I went for the taco salad and as a non-vegan, I couldn't even tell that it wasn't real meat. Cool! I was going for a healthy option and it ended up being more like loaded nachos with some lettuce on top. Toppings included: tomatoes, lettuce, cheese and 10th Street offers Circle City Kombucha as well, which is always a bonus in my book. The sandwiches looked good as well and the menu was interesting. The place was decently crowded and there's a private parking lot too. Enjoy!
