I tried a few things here.
Chorizo Chimichanga was very tasty.
I didn't care for the seitan wings; they were very meaty. But that's just a personal preference for me. Also I requested buffalo but they heard "BBQ", so that may have contributed to it as well.
Potato Salad was good.
Brunch items:
Blueberry Pancakes were delicious. 3 large pancakes. Definitely a lot of bang for your buck. Breakfast potatoes, biscuits and gravy were equally delicious.
Spicy Chicken Biscuit. The biscuit was good and I like how thin the chkn patty was. It comes with cheese, which isn't mentioned in the menu description. I peeled it off, but would've avoided the waste had I known.
Diner Plate - It comes with tofu scramble, breakfast potatoes, simmered greens, biscuit & gravy, bacon, and baked apples. The bacon was actually very very good. Unfortunately, the tofu scramble, greens, and even the breakfast potatoes weren't good. The tofu scramble and greens were a little better after I added hot sauce. I don't know what happened with the potatoes that day. The biscuit was still good.
I know the other times I went, one of the owners was cooking. The last time (with the Diner Plate brunch), the co-owner was back there in the kitchen but so was another man. I assume the other man cooked my food and maybe that's why it tasted vastly different? Just a guess.
Service ranged from excellent to so-so depending on who was working that day. I met the other co-owner, Karen, on one of my visits and she was an absolute delight.
I get disappointed with inconsistency, but things happen. I'd definitely return when back in Indy, and when the co-owner is cooking.
