Loved this bar. Audrey, the bartender is very nice. The atmosphere is laid back and friendly. The space is nice. The people are friendly. The prices are reasonable for the area. I will definitely be back.

Had a wicked time at 11th St. Bar in the East Village. If you’re looking for a laid-back spot with a solid vibe, this is it. The atmosphere is chilled, and the staff are super friendly, making you feel right at home as soon as you walk in. They’ve got a great selection of drinks, especially if you’re into craft beers or classic cocktails. Plus, the jukebox adds to the whole vibe. It’s a no-frills kind of place, but in the best way. You’re not paying for fancy decor or overpriced cocktails, you’re paying for a good time, decent drinks, and a place where you can kick back with mates. If you’re in the area, definitely worth popping by for a pint or two.

Low key neighborhood bar, went for live music on two nights and it was amazing l. Sunday after 9 pm, traditional Irish folk music Monday after 8 pm, jazz night. No coverage, make sure to tip the musicians.

I’ve been to many Irish bars across the US and in other parts of the world. This bar is a really great one. It has a cozy and very inviting feel to it, yet the back opens up in a spacious way. The staff is very friendly and laid back and the selection of draft beers is great. I definitely enjoy the overall atmosphere here.

After a bad experience at another bar around the corner, we decided to try this bar. We were looking for a chill spot to have a couple craft beers. The atmosphere was laid back. The place was clean, and the bartenders were knowledgeable and friendly. If you’re looking for a bar in the area this is the place to try.

I cannot rate the food since I only had a drink. The drink was good. The service was okay. There weren't live music (maybe I stopped by too early?)

This bar is exactly how a bar is supposed to be, it smells like alcohol, they play sports on their TVs BUT the grilled cheese sandwich is a perfect grilled cheese, it’s simple, not your 2 hr cue for some $33 grilled cheese, it’s exactly what it’s supposed to be & the highlight is this little wasabi-taste mustard jar they serve it with, definitely worth going back.

Such a fun spot! The staff is so friendly and accommodating. I came here for drinks with a couple friends after going to a football game and we all enjoyed it here. We got Pinot white wine so nothing too crazy, but still, our time here was so fun. The bartender was super friendly. He kindly let me charge my phone behind the bar (came in so clutch) and then he taught me and my friends how to play Backgammon. Next thing I know, I'm facing off against the bartender in a game of backgammon and I won. Cheers!

I'd like to express my utmost gratitude to the place that introduced me to the Baby Guinness shot. Although this is a longstanding neighborhood spot in the East Village, my friends and I only recently discovered it when we were scoping out un-pretentious places to spend New Year's Eve. Both times that we have gone, we have struck up fun conversations with people we would never have met otherwise - whether they be tourists or locals who have been coming here for years. Service is a bit gruff, but in the best way. It honestly adds to the charm. Drinks are reasonably priced for the area, and STRONG. They do not skimp on the alcohol...and we love them for it. I also love that they have live music here, and the volume is reasonable. You can still talk to people quite easily or head to the back if you want to focus on the music. Note for NYE, perhaps we just got insanely lucky since it was rainy, but my friends and I got here around 10 PM and were able to secure a 4-person hightop. There is no cover and you can get a free champagne toast at midnight (although it does get packed around 11 PM and you may or may not get that toast). Coming here hearkens back to pre-pandemic NYC when you'd would just encounter the most random people at a bar with no expectations or need to "look a certain way" to get in. Bring 2-3 friends and make a night of it. As you can tell, I'm a big, big fan!

Sadly they run a scam here despite live music here every night. Male bartender overcharged me a dollar...thought it was just a mistake at first. But when this nasty female bartender charged me $10 for a $6 Budlight, I noticed the scam. Thank God I paid in cash to catch it. BEWARE!

Stopped in on a random Wednesday and really loved the vibe, bartender, prices, and snacks. The hot pretzel with mustard is a great quick bite, which accompanied the perfectly poured Guinness very well. It's very relaxed - a band was playing, but not obtrusively loud, and several patrons were reading as they hung out. Great spot to escape for a while.

Fantastic spot for a pint of Guinness with friends. Great staff. Limited food but the toasties are tasty. Particularly lovely in fall/winter.

Updating my review (keeping the rating the same) as I've now held a private event in their back room and HIGHLY recommend for any event you're looking for. I had my 26th birthday party here on a Saturday night starting at 8pm for around 25 guests and the space was completely perfect. Very spacious for our group (the room holds 60+ but we had it all to ourselves) with plenty of tables. You're able to bring in your own food, candles, decorations at no fee. We put one card down for a group bar tab and Dan the owner gave everyone in my group wristbands to identify them for the tab. The bartenders were totally awesome. They checked on us throughout the night and we even had a special part of the bar my group could order from so we didn't have to fight any crowd to order a drink. Highly recommend for private events!

A bit pricey for an EV bar. Was told this is a true watering hole of the east village and I think the reviews were true. Didn't stay long into the night, but it started to fill in on a Thursday. Would be interesting to see what it turns into a little more lively. Seemed to be an older crowd (30s+)

Absolutely unacceptable. this bar would have been so fun to be at with my friends, good music, good times, but just one thing ... THEY DENIED ME WATER?!? I'm pretty sure that's illegal? I even offered to pay them for the tap water and they said no, not unless I bought a drink. What if I was sober and alcohol free? What if I was pregnant? What if I was way too drunk and couldn't have anymore alcohol and wanted to sober up? Completely rude and disgusting. Don't go here.

This is such a great neighborhood bar! I love the live music and the service staff is the best. The Thomas G. Waites Project was off the charts on 7/5, another great show. Saw The Brothers Yee last week and they were terrific. I love the vibe here! Many more nights of awesome entertainment to come!

Nice bar with a nice casual vibe with good staff that's pretty attentive even with our big group. Drinks are fine and the outside area was a nice place to hang during a very pleasant evening. Clean bathrooms are a plus. The only thing was that the food was pretty meh. Let's just say this isn't the kind of bar you go to grab some real grub. The pretzel was meh and the grilled cheese was pretty gross tbh. But there are plenty of restaurants nearby to satiate your hunger and if you're looking for a decent place with a good vibe and solid drinks, this is a fine choice in the area.

It's not a good place to come in a car If you're in L.A. then it's too damn far But if you're a Liverpool fan (hope you are) Then your spiritual home is 11th Street Bar! When I come here we win, never taste defeat There isn't a team that we can't beat In the cold of January or the August heat There's nowhere I'd rather be than 11th Street! The home of Liverpool FC in the United States. The only LFC pub comes which comes close to the intensity and electricity of this bar in the whole country is the one in Houston, which used to be the Gael, and of course the one in Toronto. The Detroit one isn't bad, but the true star of the show his right here in New York City. I would rather watch every Liverpool game here if I had the chance. Parking may not be easy but it's well worth it. It's right in the middle of the best neighborhood too. For Sunday games parking is free, thank f**king god because it'll burn holes in your pockets on other days. So 11SB is the heart of Liverpool Football Club in New York City, on the East Coast, and for the whole country, and for big games this place gets packed early and you sometimes have to end up going to the spillover bar around the corner. Nevertheless it's a wonderful place to watch Liverpool games, packed wall-to-wall with Liverpool fans, and since New York is an Irish town, it makes sense that an Irish team would have such a huge following here. I watched Liverpool V Tottenham Hotspur at Wembley not too long ago, while here, and I loved every minute. I didn't mind that I kept running back and forth to the car to check on and feed and milk my cat. Not that I milked the cat. Anyway it was Sammi Puffle. The Stray Cat that I found the night before. So yeah. Definitely my favourite place to watch football in all of Manhattan and all of New York State. I'm glad I was able to post this review at the 11th hour and I look forward to watching my 11th game here soon. When Liverpool win while I'm watching here, I'm in 11th heaven.

Terrible service - bartender was under the influence (twitchy, blood shot eyes). She handed me a Guinness's saying it's free if I wanted it, of course I took it. When it came time to pay the bill she not only charged for it, but was extremely rude when I asked why she was charging for it when she said it was free and ripped the card out of my friends hand. I would not have drank the Guinness if I had known! Do not recommend this place.

Best Guinness in nyc, not too crowded either. Come for soccer games on a Sunday morning

11th street bar is the best!! The bouncer that's here on weekends is such a good guy. This place always has a great selection of beers and they make a decent cocktail. They have live music pretty often and always post their upcoming events on instagram. The outdoor space is one of the best spots to hang out at when it's nice out. They have 2 bathrooms which is a bonus too - def check it out!

I hear this is a hopping place on -any- game day! As tourists in Times Square we met a new friend who suggested we visit this bar. So on a Sunday - late afternoon - we did! Even as quiet as it was - it made such a good impression on us. You can just tell this is a special place. The regulars who were there were all friendly to us strangers. To walk in and see such a beautiful well kept place is an immediate plus! You don't come for the food - because while the grilled cheese is very good - it's about all they have and the only reason I didn't rate it 5 stars. I was offered a Guinness... because you know... it's an Irish Pub that roots for Liverpool! The look on my face must have told them "start slow" on the Guinness. "Black Velvet" was ordered - a mix of Guinness and hard cider.... Maybe everyone knows this but me - but I'm hooked. And what a beautiful drink! While we didn't get to experience a Liverpool game, or the bands - it's just a reason to return another time. If I could live anywhere I'd like to live in the East Village and be able to walk in to this bar anytime and feel at home. It's just the perfect place!

Probably 3.5 stars. Ambiance: Smallish English-style bar, clean and cosy. I went there because it is the place for the NY Liverpool Fan Club and there was a game on. So it was packed, but that was early in the AM, and you'd be unlikely to have that crowd unless you are a morning drinker. Service: Friendly and fast. nice people. Food: Non-existent. But on the bright side, they will let you bring in your own food to eat, so if you know this going in, it can work for you (i.e. you don't like the usually mediocre bar fare). Drink: Good selection of beers, and this is pretty much what this is - a beer pub. The coffee is from a Nespresso machine (which, again, they fully admit up front), and the mixed drinks are ordinary. If you're a LFC fan, definitely worth a visit, but otherwise, it's good if you're in the area, but not worth a trip out of your way. IMPORTANT WORD of CAUTION: Make sure you don't confuse this place with 11th St CAFE!

I'm a foreigner new to this city, studying at columbia university. I have hearing problems. I went into this bar on 29th july, and the bartender was incredibly rude. I could not read the menu, and he mocked me for it. I tried to get another drink later and had been waiting patiently for a while - all i did was raise my hand - and he acted as if I had been incredibly aggressive 'I can see you buddy alright?!' I then requested the same thing as before, and he said 'you dont need to shout, im right here'... i could barely hear anything over the music, let alone myself. I apologized, and said he must have better hearing than me. 'Go someplace else buddy' was what he said in reply. I had done nothing wrong, and had been told to leave for my disabilities. Some introduction to this city. I do not recommend this bar to people who have similar problems.

Used to be a great bar. The new owner and regular longtime bartender are the reason I don't go back. Overtly racist and hostile .even menacing to me, as a black female patron. I brought my grievance to the owner. He said the bar tender denied nearly denying me service with his nastiness and open hostility. They won't get another penny from me.

This bar is great for a chill night. I has pub vibes and there's a back section where you can sit at tables and there is a piano player during the day. The drinks are fairly cheap for nyc and the bartenders were very nice. My friend wanted a cider but didn't know what to get and the bartender recommended one for her based on what she likes. Definitely recommend!

I can't recommend this place enough. 11th Street is a nice bar that is also...normal? When you come here they have nice cocktails and a lovely bunch of rotating taps. The Sunday night Irish session by Tony Demarco is usually what brings me in. It's like stepping back in time. Tony makes the fiddle sing and Kenny slings drinks, and I can't think of a better way to spend a Sunday.

Great dive bar in the East Village and was thrilled to discover that they carry McKenzie's hard cider, which is one of my favorites! Stopped in here a couple weeks ago and had an awesome time. Drinks are cheap but the best part for sure is the room with the massive screen playing the Liverpool soccer game. This place is definitely for the Liverpool fans - they even open early when there's a game playing! Even if you're not a soccer fan, this was a pretty fun spot to hit if you're in the neighborhood.

Super clean and roomy, great $6 happy hour specials. Danny the bartender is amazing. Had a terrible miscommunication as to how many Guinness I wanted but he was very understanding.

Best neighborhood bar. Not a dive where they intentionally try to make it grungy, no unnecessarily elaborate cocktails prepared by men wearing suspenders, just everything you could hope for in a neighborhood bar. Classic cocktails and excellent beer on tap. Lots of regulars. The Guinness is a proper pint and having one that is so good here makes you less likely to order it other places. Current setup is nice but hopefully they can hang on through covid because the indoor space and the vibe is perfect. Somehow it is always around 75% full so you can reliably find a comfortable spot but at the same time it isn't empty. Monday night jazz where there is no cover and they pass the hat at intermission is the most quintessentially New York thing you could hope to have in your neighborhood. Dan, the former bartender and now owner, is about as good natured and cool of a guy as you could hope to meet and always makes you feel welcome.

Not a bad choice when you are in this area of the city, but I would not recommend you come out of your way to drink here. A very cozy brick walled pub with a giant Guinness sign (which is always nice to see). Was here on a weekend night and the place was not packed at all. They hold poetry readings every Monday night and live Irish music every Sunday night.

I've giving this a 5-star rating for my experiences in the MORNING! Yes, you heard me right! The 11th Street Bar is the bar for the official Liverpool Football Club New York Supporters Club and has been for almost a decade. Johnny and Roger, the owners, have been great to open the bar in the morning on weekends due to the time difference and host various European competition matches on weekday evenings. They'll even tape the matches and replay them later if the timing isn't ideal. Whether the match is on at 7:45 in the morning or 3:45 in the afternoon, if it's on the bar will very likely have it. Drew the barman on the weekends is one of or THE best barman in town. He will always get to you as soon as he can and once he knows your style, you really don't need to call on him. Your next will be waiting right beside you. This, of course, goes complimentary with the excitement and passion of watching the match with the rest of the crowd. Many times this will lead to an unintentional drink session well after the match to talk about the various football topics and life in general. Been following the club since early 1996 and the atmosphere is the closest feeling to being at Anfield in the United States. I've met some great friends since I've been going and continue to meet great people from all around the world at the bar. I totally recommend coming at least once in the morning during the season. You never know. It could set a new trend for the rest of your life!

This bar is practically up the block from where 2 of my friends live and so I've come here a few times before my "super Yelper" days, last night was the first time I checked in here and definitely the first time I've been there this year. 11th Street Bar is a quant, no frills bar that's not really a pub - in NO way a dive and not a pretentious gastropub. In essence it's more of a good solid old school East Village watering hole. They've got a decent selection of craft brews, but dominating their beer list are definitely foreign, European brews like from Germany, Belgium...Long Island (lol), etc. I think the bartender from last night was named Darren (my apologies if he's not) and he was super cool. He let me sample two different wheat beers when I couldn't make up my mind and I ended up going with a citrusy wheat beer (which unfortunately I don't remember the name of, although it was fantastic and super refreshing!). They don't sell much in the way of food here, their menu was compromised of 3 different grilled cheese sandwiches and I think some soup options. The one that stood out most to me was a grilled cheese with ham and gruyere (my fave cheese!) - my friends and I were eating somewhere else, but I'd totally return and give that sucker a whirl. There was also a live band playing here last night in the back, bands play so far in the back that if you're sitting up front, by the bar near the entrance the volume of the live music barely interrupts with conversation which is great if you're not there to watch the band - but there's also seating and small tables around the band if you are. Also by the entrance is a modest sized TV that was tuned on the Red Sox vs. Yankees game last night (which Yankees were totally winning when I left ;-D) - great if you're catching a game or interested in taking a peek at the score every once in awhile, but not obnoxious sized either...not an obnoxious crowd here either, just a very chill vibe. In all 11th street bar is a pretty good place to catch up with friends, plus $2 off everything during happy hour isn't too shabby...

Looks like it has a good atmosphere. Bar staff are hostile and unfriendly though. Seem uninterested in being bar staff and curiously uninterested in LFC for a supposed official supporters club bad. Fans of Liverpool FC should avoid and look elsewhere. I've had much better experiences at Carraghers on 39th and 7th.

Yep. What you see is what you get. Irish bar in every sense of the word, features live music 5 nights a week, and A rating in cleanliness. It's a neighborhood bar, and they have sports going Pretty quiet on an early Sunday afternoon before the rush circa 3:30pm Bar isn't right for smoking in front. Smokers need to go elsewhere, unfortunately. The world is changing These guys are great and I wish them the best. 5 stars

Very nice bar near Stuytown that I never would have found save for the birthday invitation from a friend's sister. The name doesn't really say much about the bar--it can be just about anything when you step in. Luckily, it was a really nice melding of neighborhood hangout, Irish pub, and beer snob cantina. The back area has some generous and fairly intimate seating despite all the hubbub that starts around 10 pm on a weekend. At that point the noise level really amps up but if you've got a good crew, it's tolerable. Of course, I was here on pre-Halloween weekend, so the rage was clearly at above-average levels. They had a few really nice choices on tap, perfectly catered to the season--nut browns, Oktoberfest marzens, and pumpkin ales (and porter)! Anyone who serves pumpkin porters immediately gets bookmarked in MY book (zing!). The bartenders were friendly enough, though once demand grows it can take quite a while to get a drink.

A bar that features one of my favorite singer/songwriters (Freedy Johnston) and has Ommegang Hennepin on tap and you think I really need to type more here? Ok, maybe I do. If you are a dog lover, this seems to be a good bar to go to in NYC. I believe I counted 3 dogs lounging around inside this place which is actually very cool. Not something you see very often and not something I expected in the city. Portland, where I currently live I might expect to see it, even though I haven't, but NY, not so much. Anyway, refer back to the first paragraph to see why I gave this place 5 stars. Freedy doesn't come out to the Pacific Northwest, so while I was back on this part of the country, I was glad I found out he was playing here and glad that I got a chance to check this bar out. Will make it back again someday.

Came here the other night for the first time and had a good experience. The place is bigger than I thought. When you walk in, you have the long bar which then helps extend into a larger space in the back that were filled with tables. The back was a bit crowded so my date and i decided to sit up front - by the door (it was freezing outside - keep that in mind). We didnt have not one issue with it because this amazing bar had heaters right by the door and we didnt feel not a touch of wind. It was great and we were warm. Drinks were made well and staff were polite. Will be returning any chance thats provided - would want to try out their food (im assuming they have food since there's tables.).

Staff was very disrespectful. Door person was very rude and lied about my approach to go to the place. I have been going to the bar for 15 years and never have had such a problem. After such a period of time, things have changed with such rude service.

If you are a Liverpool fan looking to watch the game with some of the best supporters in the world go. If you support any other Premier League club, proceed with caution. You may or may not be hazed (98.7% chance you will be). Very chill and relaxed environment until the game starts. Then it's a lot of "Are you blind ref!?" and "Come on Mignolet make the damn save!!" If it's a Saturday morning game they serve tea and coffee and also these super awesome sandwiches just make watching the game that more enjoyable.

I made a deal with the owner of the bar for a small gathering and told him the max amount I can afford. I made the payment at the end of the even but the bartender refused to serve me drinks because I did not tip after paying the complete amount of the deal. The owner later contacted me and told me that he forgot to mention 20% gratuity that should have been part of the deal. He asked me if he can charge the same card for 20% tips. This was after my friends bought drinks worth of $250 and tipped pretty well. Not a good place to celebrate something special.

Not fancy, not pretentious....just a perfect neighborhood bar. Attended a small private party here at the back of the bar. The space was perfect for a small party. The bartender was very friendly! Don't go here looking for a trendy cocktail menu.

Drinks were good but quite expensive. Cool vibe and good crowd of people however one of the bartenders was extremely rude and aggressive with me. He was constantly reprimanding me to put my mask on while talking to him even though it was up the entire time. He said "you are going to have to get rid of that attitude" which is extremely inappropriate to say to a paying customer especially If there was no attitude given in the first place. Overall good experience but whoever that bartender was needs to be trained on how to respect paying customers.

I felt maybe five years and one beer belly too young for this place. I came with a big group of friends and we had a good time, but we would've done just as well or better in someone's living room. I like a dive bar almost as well as the next girl, but 11th Street Bar didn't do it for me. I think what killed it was the bathroom - my nostrils aged when I opened that door.

Never knew about the joint till my friends threw me a nice little birthday party here after dinner. Reserved were some sweet tables and sweeter chairs in the back that accommodated our party of 15 or so. Not dimly lit but not bright that it kills the drunken stupor in your eyes, the environment breeds fun and funny and sometimes funnier. Skip the funniest because there were some real jackasses here as well. Waiting on the bathroom line and I mistakenly cut it because the line just looked like a bunch of people drinking. I was told to wait my turn which I did and then I saw someone else from that same group cut everyone and go in. Of course, being a hands-on type of person, I asked him politely to wait his turn. He ignored and went in cutting not only me but my friend and a female friend who is all of 5'. I took my piss and as soon as I came out I said "Hey there mister! That was not nice!" I was ready to repeat that to all his crew but my friend reminded me that it was my birthday and that I should turn the other cheek. So I can surprise him with a nice little roundhouse right to where the sun don't wanna shine! Next time my friend, next time. Well, since drunken, white fray boys all look alike, it might be hard to conjure up a next time. We shall see. Otherwise, I had a lovely time with some lovely beer and lovelier friends! Skip the loveliest. Though I will say the bouncer and the head bartender were attentive and asked me who was causing the ruckus and tried to keep the peace which they did. Would definitely come back again. Love the ruckus and the moderately good selection of beer.

I love this bar. It's very low-key and has a comfortable atmosphere. It's very, very good if you want to actually talk to the people you're out to drinks with. I've had two of my birthday parties here b/c it was good for a large group of people and we could all talk and spread out easily. Plus - anytime I've been here for a good amount of time, the bartenders always give me and my friends a complimentary drink. The house wine is $7 - but mixed drinks are less, around $5 for a gin and tonic. I'm thinking those prices are fair by new york standards. They have about five large tables in the back which are good for groups of people. Staff has always been very friendly as well.

In New York City I can literally get anything I want at any time. Shiiiiit I just got a rub and tug just because I felt like it. Now that I've released, relaxation sets in. I'm not sure what I want. So I stumble in to 11th Street Ale house as I walk down second ave with a pep in my step. Everyone is singing the shitty songs I love. It's a merry affair. A gay ol' time. Sometimes you don't need to be on the cutting edge of cocktails, or down on your knees blowing brewmasters for the freshest hops. I'm not always in the mood to hear an expert attempt to distinguish himself with his knowledge of another person's craft. Sometimes people just want to have a cold one and sing with their friends, do a line in the bathroom while Buckcherry blasts through the boom box. For these moments, I sponsor 11th Street Ale House.
