"Editor's note: Hotbird closed their SF location in 2022 and moved to a new spot in Uptown Oakland. Hotbird, the Nashville hot chicken sandwich spot, used to be a staple at Oakland First Fridays and Off the Grid at the Presidio. Now they have a temporary space in the Twitter building food hall while their brick-and-mortar restaurant is under construction. Their sandwich is a master class in how to do one thing great.
