The 17 Best Afternoon Teas In London - London - The Infatuation

"From £42 per person (£40 each if there are two of you) Richmond and afternoon tea feel like a natural combination. Partly because people in the area lift their pinky fingers when drinking their morning cuppa anyway, but mostly because the acres of land—also known as Richmond Park—make you feel like you’ve escaped to the countryside. This is one of the more laid-back tea rooms, with quirky feathery lamp shades, an island of foliage in the centre of the room, and other diners eating lunch next to you." - rianne shlebak, eileen twum

London Restaurant Reviews: Llewelyn’s Herne Hill Is ‘Really Good’ | Eater London

"This new hotel restaurant in Richmond attempts a menu of trendy, disparate dishes—open rabbit lasagne, Roscoff onion slaw, jackfruit dirty burger and other “voguish odds and ends”—but reads like the work of an absentee executive chef and an unprepared kitchen. Serviceable room aside, many dishes underdeliver: a rocket salad arrives as an undressed, near-wilted clump; a venison scotch egg shows gnarly, waywardly pink meat; a flat-iron steak contains a thick band of gristle and a Gressingham duck breast appears as two seeping pink slabs. Even bread rolls are disappointingly dense. Puddings are particularly problematic: a Knickerbocker Glory is messily overreaching and a Valrhona chocolate mousse suffers from grainy tempering, gluey honeycomb and an unappealing presentation. The overall effect, according to critics, is hapless and slapstick rather than confidently ambitious." - George Reynolds

Well this was a great treat , garden terrace . The selection of cocktails was just what was needed, the team where on hand to assist with any questions we had, After selecting our cocktails we accompanied them with a delicious selection of light bites. I have to say the choices on the menu was great and we choose a good selection to get a taste of the flavours . The food was hot wee presented on the plate . Yummy! The service was efficient we even fit in another cheeky couple of cocktails. The atmosphere was pleasant friendly staff made us feel welcome. It’s a must visit.

I went to 144 On The Hill on Saturday evening and had a lovely experience. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, the service was attentive without being intrusive, and the food was absolutely delicious — beautifully presented and full of flavour. Everything ran smoothly from start to finish, and the staff made sure we were comfortable throughout. I’d definitely recommend it for a relaxed yet classy dining experience and would love to visit again soon.

We had a lovely meal at 144 On The Hill on Saturday 6th September. We were a family group of 8, celebrating our imminent golden wedding anniversary. We the food was just right, accompanied by delicious wines, in a beautiful setting. Most importantly, we were looked after so well by Tyler, who was efficient and professional with his service. One of the best restaurant experiences we have had in a long time. We will certainly go back when we visit Richmond again.

Absolutely exceptional food, service and ambience. The food was delicious and I am very much looking forward to returning. We had a three courses on NYE, each course was delicious and a glass of champagne. The glasses were so lovely and the table set to nicely that it added to the experience. Highly recommend and I'm excited about returning. They made you feel very special on NYE!

Went for a Friday lunch. Noticed the greeter looked my wife up and down. Thought that's a bit unnecessary. The restaurant was void of any diners, we were the only people there at 12:30. After an hour a couple of other parties arrived. The atmosphere was still not great despite the slightly loud music. The service from our waitress was excellent. The food did take a long time to arrive, was over 35 minutes. However all the food and drinks were wonderfully presented. Everything was very tasty too, really enjoyed my meal.

Yelp
The restaurant within the Richmond Hill Hotel; staff is very attentive and appropriately friendly. Food is a bit on the pricey side, but that is fitting for the area/since it is an upscale location inside a hotel. They off lunch, lounge snacks/drinks, dinner, brunch, breakfast, and Sunday Roast.
