1739 Public House - Review - Los Feliz - Los Angeles - The Infatuation

"1739 is a two-story bar on Vermont in Los Feliz that’s busy almost all the time, from early morning Tuesday soccer matches to late-night playoff baseball games. But Sunday mornings for football are the best time to be here - they have a solid brunch menu (go for the brunch burger), and you’ll be surrounded by East Coast transplants cheering on their far-away hometown teams (although this does mean you’ll have to deal with a few obnoxious Patriots fans)." - Brett Keating

The LA Sports Bar Directory - Los Angeles - The Infatuation

"This two-story bar on Vermont is booked and busy 24/7, but the best time to visit is during Sunday morning football season. Yes, it’s very likely that you’ll have to endure a few obnoxious fans from faraway places (aka Boston), but at least you’ll be doing it over an excellent burger and beer." - kat hong, james montgomery

Eye opening beer selection and friendly staff. Great sports watching venue. Going to come back and play some tunes on their loud jukebox!

This has been my local pub for some years now. It's a great spot for major sports events year round. They even adjust opening hours accordingly - I've had a beer here while watching 8am World Cup matches! Food is better than I expect at a bar. They have sidewalk tables that are great for having an afternoon beer with my dog. Good beer selection and full bar. Only gripe is the service can be slow, maybe they don't have enough staff, and sometimes it's confusing whether you should order at a bar or sit and wait for a server. They haven't offered the free pizza during happy hour for years.

Great place for sports. Good menu for a sports bar. Service can be slow when important games are on but it is understandable.

One of my favorite spots to watch sports and get a good beer. They have an incredible beer selection with rotating and seasonal options. I would give it a full 5 stars, unfortunately the bartenders can be inattentive at times. The food has always been delicious and quick! Hats off to the kitchen staff! If you’re in the area or going to visit LA it’s worth a look! Even if you’re stopping for a quick drink you should. There’s a very nice rustic atmosphere and aesthetic. Happy hour has some good deals as well!

Great pub with huge TV screens for sports watching. Typical pub food but they also have accommodations for gluten-free options. You can also order from the Indian restaurant next door and have it delivered by the same crew. They have happy hour options which are great deals. The staff are friendly and the management is very helpful. Also they have very safe socially distant covet protected outdoor seating. It's a great Los Feliz spot to watch a game or have happy hour.

It's a good local pub. Lots of ample seating. Service is takes awhile and not the most attentive but this comes in part from being a pretty large venue. For me, it's a little loud to have a conversation without needing to raise your voice even when there's no sporting event. Still, I recommend it for decent food, a good beer selection and a nice assortment of games (pool, arcades and I think there may be darts).

This review is while we're still under COVID-19 protocols. There are limited beer and food options but still plenty of options to keep you satisfied. They have beers from light to dark. Plenty of liquor all of flavors and varieties. The food is bar food - and I'll leave it at that. The staff is amenable and helpful. They also are on-top of cleaning up before, after and during your visit. I felt like the cleaning measures were good.
