Coffee + bagels = Best coffee shop ever! It was a great experience. They make their begs in house. The coffee was fantastic! 1802 had enough room for sitting and outlets. Great place to work, study, and chill. For the all the Filipinos out there! 1802 is also Filipino own. Support your local bayan.

Good morning everybody happy Sunday. First time going 1802 Roasters … small coffee shop in Cypress Park. There’s pastrami bagel really good fresh bagel, fresh pastrami. It was made perfect definitely going to go back again. My son gives it a big thumbs up. 👍 and their coffee is really good and their customer service is really good.

Walk in and enjoy some great coffee/espresso that is Roasted in-house with outrageously good bagels. They do have a variety of other pastries but their Saint- Raf bagels are exceptional and sell out quick.

I tend to trust a cafe has a pour-over coffee menu or roast beans by itself. 1802 Roasters has both of them and it has a lot of bakery options as well. Its parking lot was not crowded and there were enough sitting areas inside as well. Absolutely the taste of the pour-over coffee was great!

The staff at this bagel place were arrogant and rude, which detracted from the overall experience. While the bagels have beautiful decorations, the taste did not live up to expectations. The bagels were not bad, but they simply were not the best. Driving a long way to try them was not worth it, as the taste was just average and not worth the journey. The staff's attitude only added to the disappointment of the meal. There may be better options for bagels elsewhere, as the taste and staff attitude at this particular place were underwhelming. The beautiful decorations do not make up for the average taste and poor customer service.

Best bagel in LA! I got the salt and pepper bagel with cream cheese, and it was incredible! Also got the rose syrup Matcha latte. My friend got an everything bagel and an onion bagel and they were perfection. Beautiful interior, wonderful customer service, and a great little outdoor seating area and parking lot!

I've been there twice and interacted with 4 different people, everyone was helpful and friendly. I've gotten almond milk lattes and a toasted bagel with vegan cream cheese, lattes were excellent and the bagel was the best I've had in years. Update: I've been back at least a dozen more times (about once a week) and it's consistently been great, coffee is exceptional and service is awesome. The last time I was in it was very busy which was a first for me and still they took the time and effort to give good service and coffee was as great as ever

Stopped here for a flat white. It was one of the best I’ve ever had. I ended up buying a bag of beans. The staff were very helpful. Sitting area was simple and nice. There’s a parking lot on the side.

The coffee is delicious, especially the 1802 cold brew. The bagels are also insane. The best I've had in the area. The vegan cream cheese tastes just like regular. Service is very friendly. Easy to park, cute seating area in the back. We love it!

Didn't toast our bagels :((( but they didn't ask if we wanted it toasted, so we didn't know you Had to request that ! Drinks came with little to no ice at all. we didn't request light ice. Not sure if that's the standard, because I know a lot of girlies are light ice girls! But not all of us are!!! also they have Termites! Wherever I sat, I saw dead and alive ones, even crawling near me. Holes in the wood near bar, and the long table near the windows. Also saw 2 spiders at register dancing when I was ordering :) um Girlie at register was really nice though:)

Was greeted upon entry. Had a few questions about the beverage and bagel menu. The cashier was irritable and offered very little customer service. I ordered a coffee, iced tea, and bagel. The tea and coffee were okay and the bagel was a hard pass. Onion bagel w/ Cheddar Jalapeño smear- 2/10 The bagel texture was there but the burnt onion on the bagel was overpowering. As for the smear, it was on the runny side and tasted like canned nacho cheese sauce mixed with cream cheese. The first overall experience I received will unfortunately be my last.

1802 Café is a small coffee roaster and coffee shop based in Cypress Park, Los Angeles. They have a modest selection of coffee and tea blends (hot/cold). Similarly, they offer bagels for breakfast. From the outside, you can hardly notice 1802 because it blends well with other bldgs. However, once inside your eyes wil be transformed how modern and organized this cafe. They have limited rear parking lot. Drinks were fairly priced. Staff were cool and affable. I had a small 1802 Cold Brew x milk. And it was good; perfect on a hot afternoon. Overall, I had a good drink and experience.

This is a pretty chill coffee shop in Cypress Park. It seems popular as it's always busy with people coming and going, waiting in line to order. It can be difficult to find a place to sit at the tables or along the workbench. However, I managed to find a spot both times I've visited. The stool seats at the wall workbench are surprisingly comfortable, and they have a few outlets to plug in your devices. I've enjoyed their espresso tonic. They also have a seasonal espresso cola (cola soda instead of tonic water) that I plan on trying. It's fun to peruse their creative drink menu! It seems they no longer offer pastries, but have bagels instead. I tried their calamansi bagel. The cream cheese was yummy; the bagel was tougher or chewier than what I prefer. Overall, a reliable place for coffee and bagels while reading, getting some work done, or catching up with friends. The parking lot has limited spaces and is a bit awkwardly configured in my experience, but there's also street parking.

Plenty of parking, plenty of seating both inside and outside. There is a door on the side of the building but that is not the entrance! The actual entry door is on the corner by the street. Their menu had so many options for drinks whether you like coffee or not. Their bagel options were also plentiful. They had an interesting ube cream cheese which sounded so good. I got the seasonal black sesame latte which was amazing and I highly recommend. It comes standard with some oat milk which was nice! I also got the onion bagel with plain cream cheese. The bagel was not the best because the onion part fell EVERYWHERE and cream cheese amount wasn't the best. The only think that was kinda off was the service. The people who work there seemed a little displeased with everything. Even the older man that had ordered after me got a not so happy attitude from the barista. For people with anxiety: park in their lot which you can get in through cypress avenue. The entry for the cafe is on the north west corner of the building. Walk over to the counter and order what you want, Apple Pay is available. They will call your name when your order is ready, you can pickup at the counter that's around the right side of the order counter.

This is one of the best bagels I've had in LA (at least tied with Courage, but they're very different styles) and it's in a much more pleasant and relaxing setting. Parking is easy, seating is ample and low pressure (someone was literally asleep in a counter seat and no one was pressuring them), and I took a few work meetings in there without bothering anyone. I ordered the whitefish bagel, which came so overstuffed I had to eat it as though it was open face. No complaints here. No microscopic schmear here. The matcha tonic was also surprisingly wonderful and refreshing. I'm a sucker for anything with tonic water, and adding citrus syrup just made it more like a summery drink that just happened to have the grassiness (and caffeine hit) of matcha.

Great little coffee shop, close to the river. They take apple pay which was great since I came by for a spontaneous walk. Their peach iced tea was really good, and their everything bagel with scallion cream cheese topped with lox was amazing! A lot of food though, so maybe share with someone. It gets super crowded, so make sure to go with another person so that one can grab seats and another can order.

Situated in a very limited strip of new shops of a gentrified street in Cypress Park, this café is an interesting aspect of the changing face of this area. I grew up around the corner, and for the most part it's still a working class Latino community, with some younger faces who have moved in and bought property in the area. That being said, their coffee is pretty decent. I ordered a spice chai latte iced and tasted pretty much like how a latte would taste. Bagels were very good but I'm not sure I would drive all the way back for it specifically. I felt a little judged when I had stepped in. In fact, it took the barista about a couple of seconds after I had spoken to her in English for her to greet me. And I only spoke to her because she had been staring straight at me as I stood in front of the counter. No one else was in line at the time. Parking is limited, and I would've preferred just to park on the street rather than potentially get my car scratched from how tight the spots could be .

This is my first time back to this coffee shop since they first opened in 2020 during COVID. I remember getting their coffee from a drive through! Anyways - I walked in and this place was beautiful! A simple clean aesthetic, just the way I like it. The first time I came here, I actually did not like the cold brew but today the cold brew was amazing. It was smooth with no acidity. What got my attention was their bagel selection (Saint Raf Bagel). I came here at around 8:30AM and all the bagels were fresh. I recommend that you come in between opening and 9:00AM for the hot bagels! I got a simple Onion Bagel with their Scallion Cream Cheese. The outside was crunchy while the inside was fluffy. I am excited to come back to try their Calamsi Shmear and their Kinako Brown Sugar Shmear! I will be honest - I think these bagels are just as a good, if not better, than Belles Bagels and Courage Bagels (minus the everything burnt bagel). If you are looking for coffee and bagels, then this is the place to go. There is plenty of seating for inside and outside Parking - They do have a small parking lot but there is a good handful of free street parking.

I was excited to finally try this place. The rating is primarily for the bagels. The bagels are amazing!! Super fresh and airy. I was not impressed by the coffee. The coffee was a bit powdery, I couldn't tell if that was because of the mocha or if it was the coffee. I will come back specifically for the bagels! Service was average.

Needed to get some work done and saw this place with lots of seating. It was clean, quiet, and spacious when I went on a Thursday afternoon. I sat at the long bar by the window and enjoyed the natural sunlight. Baristas are nice. I saw one had to unfortunately deal with a rude customer but she was very professional about it. I ordered their 1802 coldbrew and it was tasty and very strong lol it may have looked like I was working but I was secretly bouncing off the walls. I appreciated that I was able to work for about 3 hours without being bothered. I'll definitely become a regular!

I enjoyed my bagel and coffee, except I didn't know that you have to ask to have the bagel toasted. The employee didn't make me aware of this by asking if I wanted to have it toasted or not. The store is cute inside and I want to try other things out.

Was accosted TWICE by a millennial about parking (on the way out AND getting back in my car) when I simply had to run across the street for under 5 minutes with my toddler in my arms. Of course there's no parking anywhere else or I would have. It's after hours but they want you to pay to park anyway. What a joke. I used to actually come here, but never again.

Great spot a bit off of San Fernando! There are some neat shops nearby that make it a great walkable area, and Roasters gets extra points for offering lot parking. The shop itself has great ambiance and ample seating, while the bagels are top-notch. Got myself a classic Bacon Egg & Cheese on everything, I was not disappointed! The cashier/barista was also very kind and honest about choices, would definitely recommend this place to anyone in Highland Park/Glendale area and anyone else willing to make the drive!

One of my new favorite spots to work remotely. I love sitting by the window looking out onto the street, and the coffee is great. There are also outlets, which is something I'm always looking for in a coffee shop. No food though except bagels (that I've seen).

Honestly I was so excited to try this new place (new to me) staff was nice. Buttttt the bagel wash terrible. The begal was so stale. Please toast the bread, I wouldn't give this place a second shot honestly. I don't mind paying 15$ for a bagel, but if you want to charge 15$ a bagel ensure it's good. Like please :( the cafe has a really bad smell aswell. But friendly staff

Love coming here to work for a bit. It's cute and their bagels are delicious. My favorites are the onion bagel and the cracked salt and pepper. Friendly place with a small parking lot which is a big plus. Coffee is also good too which i believe that roast in house.

We got the salmon and cream cheese sandwich and tomatoes and cucumber sandwich. Great flavours although tomatoes in both sandwiches were very runny and made bagels wet. We both got salt and pepper bagels, I never had that before and it's great! The only thing I didn't like was the bagels were a little tough to bite through, I had to really tear through the crust. My jaw had a good exercise after eating the sandwich.

Very cool place to hang out on your phone or laptop! The staff was extremely nice and make very comfortable. Bagel sandwiches, sweets and assortment of coffees or teas! Just driving through love these locals spots!!!!

Talk about junk fees. Got a hot latte at $6 so I thought hmm pretty expensive even though I saved them money by providing my own Fellow tumbler. Then I looked at my receipt with 4.6% transaction fee on top of the $6 and they had the audacity to ask for tip. AVOID this place. I should have paid attention to the unwelcoming vibes when we first walked through the door.

Best bagel in LA by a mile! It's been a struggle this past ten years since moving from NYC finding a quality bagel. Cream cheese to bagel ratio is on point! They also have an amazing house cold brew. Check them out!

Coffee shop in Cypress Park? Cool. I like their vanilla lattes, the espresso and coffee are of great quality. Coffee is strong. They have a spinach croissant and it's HEAVENLY. Ham & Cheese croissant is good too. This spot has a lot of room to study/ hang out.

Just got the bagels here and was delicious. I had the salt and pepper and it's surprisingly good. Peppery yet the texture of the bagel being chewy and crunchy outside makes you want more!

Incredible bagels and cream cheeses, and good coffee options as well. The only thing they're missing is gluten-free options, but this place is definitely worth checking out if you're a bagel aficionado! (Or an east-coaster on the west coast!)

You can't tell it's a bagel or coffee shop by its name, and outside looks pretty ugly and not the type of place you'd have to check out (especially with Loquat across the street), but the inside vibe is nice and the coffee and bagels are decent. Unfortunately they never give you a time estimate even when you call ahead so you could be waiting for a really long time for coffee and bagels... also, AT LEAST every other time I go there they mess up my order.

LA is a bagel town. With all the competition in LA, people are upping their game. I came in to try the Saint-Raf bagel as a well-known food writer compared it to Courage Bagels which I haven't tried due to the infinite long line I see whenever passing by. This place does not have a line (yet) which was great. The fresh bagel was definitely better than average and better than grocery store bought, but probably not at the same level as my favorite St. Viature bagel in Montreal. A drive to Cypress Park is definitely doable for you just to try another bagel heavy hitter. We all probably know that LA is also a craft coffee city with so many options. I wonder why one would want to drink at a corporate Seattle mega chain like Starbucks? You'll also want to grab a coffee with your bagel as they care so much about coffee that they roast their own beans. They offer pour overs if you like to taste the coffee and not drown good coffee in sweet, sugary syrups and cream. Save the cream, syrups, and sugar for bad quality coffee. They offer other beverages and teas if you're not a black coffee type of person.

Very nice bagel and lox sandwich. The onion bagel was really good and toasted crunchy like I prefer. They were very generous with the lox and capers. I would have liked a bit more tomato and onion but it was a very nice sandwich for $13. My only complaints were they didn't cut the sandwich in half, which the should have, it took a bit too long to make the sandwich- maybe their toaster is slow and they didn't put any napkins in the to go bag. These are little nit pics just to be aware of. All in all great place.

I really do enjoy the coffee here but I hate the service. I've called to order ahead numerous times thinking it would be ready upon arrival. It's never the case and today it was really upsetting. I called at 2:54 pm to order the drink. I let the person I spoke to that i would be there at 3:10 pm. I arrived right at 3:10 pm and it wasn't even ready. She said if she would've made it it would've cooled down too much which is honestly just an excuse. Don't have the option to call to order if customers orders aren't even going to be ready.

Not a legit coffee shop; usually coffee shops would ask if you'd like a small shot of sparkling water with your espresso. The cashier charged for a whole bottle. Not impressed. Even the coffee shop across the street offers.

This rating is solely on the Smoked Salmon Bagel because it was AMAZING. I tried mine on an everything bagel. The bagel was so fresh it didn't require any toasting. The smoked salmon was accompanied by plain cream cheese, pickled onions, tomato, and capers. It was savory, acidic, just perfect. I will definitely be back to try the coffee, but for now that bagel will live rent free in my head.

Best bagels in LA. Best coffee shop service in LA. Great outdoor area to hang and great seats in the window inside. One of the strongest and therefore most best cold brews in LA. And no I am not a bot I am a person and sharing in hopes of assisting you figuring out if you should check it out for yourself. I always get the decaf vanilla latte for me and my parents since they live down the street. My parents absolutely love it! And that's really saying something because my Asian parents are pretty hard people to please haha. Very friendly staff, cute space, and parking is easy. I highly recommend this place!

Good spot! It always smells amazing in there because of their bagels. I've been to 3 different coffee shops that have this amazing chocolate chip cookie. 1802 roasters, stumptown, and Maru. Where are you guys getting this bakery item from? I'm obsessed with it. If its something that's being made in house, I gotta find the recipe lol

Came for the Saint-Raf bagels, stopped for the coffee. Really cute, bright spot to study/work, caffeine, and if they haven't run out of bagels, enjoy a tasty one. The vanilla latte was smooth, well balanced, and just the right amount of sweetness. The bagel was light, and not doughy. I had the egg salad sandwich which was delicious, my only issue is that I forgot to ask the staff to toast the bagel. My BF had the everything bagel with cream cheese and scallions, toasted. Taking a bite of his bagel showed me the possibility of what mine could have been. The exterior had a nice crunch and the interior a softness that almost melted in your mouth. Really great bagel coffee experience.

This review is just based on the bagels. We ordered 3 bagels to go and let me tell you, it felt like ages before we got it. There was a lady that ordered behind us and got her bagel before we did. Not sure what kinda system that is. Anyways we finally got our bagels and took it home which is a short 6 minute walk. 1. Our smoked salmon bagel was super soggy and the edges of the bagel was mushy 2. My hot pastrami sandwich wasn't even hot. The cheese was still in its cold square form. He toasted the bagel, so the bagel was kinda hard with a cold center. I had to throw it in the microwave for another 45 secs to actually make it hot and the cheese melty. Neither bagel was cut. The guy with the dyed yellow hair looked frantic as he was making the bagels cause he kept looking at a sheet on the wall to maybe see what was in the bagel. They may have had an off day, but if you're charging $17.25 per sandwich bagel, I'm not sure you can have many off days.

Absolutely worth it for me to drive here, for their careful selection and fresh roasting of beans. They have such a chill area to sip your pourover, the sun hits it just right in the AM. Very friendly run business, none of that unnecessary bruskness you get from other places.

Best bagels, coffees and tea lattes in Los Angeles. A true neighborhood gem. The London fog and Hong Kong milk tea latte are so good. The bagels are crispy light and airy.

I came in today to try the bagels. My NY friend let me know these bagels were legit. I ordered one plain & one everything with cream cheese to go. Took them home, toasted them & man, she was right! These bagels are exceptional. Vibe inside was really calm & welcoming. There were people working on their laptops. I didn't order any coffee but I know they roast it themselves here & the coffee menu looked great.

I was so excited to try this place out. Honestly very good bagels and tasteful coffee. The staff was really friendly and service was fast! It is nice and quiet to come read or get some work done. They also have an outside deck with tables and chairs to enjoy the outside. Highly recommend this place! I will definitely keep coming back.

Love love love their Matcha #2 and Chocolate Cold Brew... favorite iced drinks in town. Phenomenal service. Multiple people working, so they're quick and efficient at making drinks. It's also spacious inside, so it's a great place to sit for a few.

I like this cafe a lot for two main reasons: croissants are tasty + it's a great working space within walking distance for me (just wish their playlists were more conducive for work...). Coffee here is pretty run of the mill.

Delicious coffee here and great, friendly service. We've only tried the 1802 cold brew with Filipino chocolate and the Coconut Chocolate Brew so far. They are both amazing and not too sweet. COVID- they have a drive thru set up outside for Covid and some outdoor distanced seating. On the weekends they have Tagalog Takeover, a Filipino pop up in the back with added outdoor seating. We haven't gotten to get a meal yet but the lumpias were incredibly good!!!

Liked the coffee there, easy parking, clean, nice spot to visit. They may need a better sign drove by it multiple times but didnt realize it was there.

Waited 25 minutes for a bacon egg and cheese. Soggy and cold. The woman said, sorry your order "fell back a bit.". Truth is, they have their favorites and regulars they push orders for. 3 people ordered after me and got bagels before me. I figured they ordered on line for pickup. One woman who ordered after me and got hers ahead had a cute dog. I started petting the dog as a way to make convo and just asked hey your bagel came quick, did you order online? She said no, she comes here all the time and they know her. $15 for a soggy bagel and I have to get pushed because you have your people? Hate to play the race card, but as the only black man in the whole restaurant, you have to wonder. I live in the area but will definitely not be going back here.

Great coffee shop doing pour overs, espressos and espresso based drinks using responsibly sources beans roasted on site. In addition to great drinks, they also have fantastic (and beautiful) pastries. Definitely worth checking out!

12/12/21-12/18/21 OTM: I had the option to choose the coconut chocolate brew (chocolate cold brew with coconut milk) or matcha #2 (matcha with macadamia nut milk, sweetened with vanilla and topped with coconut milk). I ended up getting the coconut chocolate brew, which was really good. Not too sweet! I also got the matcha #2. That was my favorite. It tasted creamy, but not the tastes "unhealthy" and unnatural. It's probably one of my favorite matcha drinks I've had so far in LA. I didn't get any espresso based drinks, so I can't comment on the beans. This means that I'll be back to try one! The interior is really nice and modern. Also, the baristas were very nice and helpful. Parking is free and plentiful. Added bonus.
