1881 Kitchen - Review - Westchester - New York - The Infatuation

"The best steak in Westchester doesn’t come from a traditional steakhouse. It’s at 1881 Kitchen Table, a large restaurant with industrial vibes that opened in Port Chester in late 2024. The menu jumps across the globe and leans a little Mediterranean, with much of it taking advantage of the giant, wood fired oven that’s prominently on display. But, about those steaks. There are three large cuts of black angus beef on the menu, all of which are dry aged onsite and served oh-so simply with sea salt, butter, and a sprig of rosemary. Each comes out of that fiery oven with a lightly charred crust, and they all taste like beef nirvana, with no sauce menu or wagyu tutorial needed to seal the deal. Given its location, 1881 Kitchen Table is a solid option before a show at the Capitol Theatre." - Mike Wasserman

New Favorite Spot!! Amazing food, atmosphere, staff and Cocktails!! Their Open Kitchen is Incredible and very rare to see around here as well as the owner, Jen, was so pleasant, it was refreshing! The ambiance was tastefully decorated with such attention to fine details, just beautiful. Most food items on their menu are cooked in their beautiful, enormous Brick Oven which I absolutely LOVE and each item we ordered tasted delicious. Everything was perfectly seasoned, not too much or too little! We will become regular customers for sure!

This restaurant was recommended by foodie friends, who only go to the best! The minute we walked in, the ambiance, decor and feeling was a sign that this was a different restaurant. We were welcomed by the manager David that immediately made us feel like regulars. Our waitress Larissa was wonderful. The menu is so exotic, we were so impressed. A Mediterranean restaurant with such a different array of foods. We ordered the Eggplant Mezze Bowl that just blew us away. An incredible bread baked on premises with so many different little hummus dishes. So delicious! I’m glad we got curious and just ordered a Neapolitan pizza that was so perfectly cooked. Can’t wait to go back and try some of the other beautiful dishes! Try it, you will love it!

We had a wonderful dining experience at 1881. The food was excellent and the menu was perfect for sharing family style. The team coursed our meal beautifully, starting with the mezze platter and tuna crudo, then the pizza and salad, followed by two protein-forward entrées that were just right for our group of four. The wood-fired flavors and simple ingredients really stood out and added a special touch. We sat upstairs in the mezzanine, adjacent to the wine room, which was comfortable and intimate with a phenomenal view of the dining room. It felt like a private dining experience without being removed from the energy of the restaurant which had great sounds from the music playlist, open kitchen, and patron’s conversations. The staff was attentive and checked on us regularly. Jennifer was so kind and accommodating throughout the evening, she made us feel welcome. Compliments to Chef Dave, whose cooking and thoughtful menu design made the meal great. And Pedro, our server, was knowledgeable and provided great service. Overall, 1881 is a gem in Port Chester with excellent food, warm service, and a lovely atmosphere. Highly recommend.

As a longtime restaurateur and proud owner of a Mediterranean restaurant, I’ve had the privilege of dining in some incredible places — but 1881 in Port Chester absolutely blew me away. From the moment we walked in, the experience was exceptional. The ambiance is warm, modern, and thoughtfully designed — a perfect balance of elegance and comfort. I was there with family and friends, and we were all instantly impressed by how beautifully curated every detail of the space was. But the real star of the night? The food. Without exaggeration, this was one of the best meals I’ve had in years. Every dish was crafted with creativity, care, and an understanding of flavor that’s rare to come by. You can feel the passion behind the menu — it’s bold, refined, and deeply satisfying. Service was attentive yet relaxed, striking just the right balance. You could tell the team behind 1881 takes pride in delivering not just a meal, but a truly memorable experience. I left inspired and already looking forward to my next visit. 1881 is a gem, and I can’t recommend it highly enough to anyone who loves great food, great company, and an atmosphere that makes you feel both special and at home. Bravo to the team — you’ve set a new bar.

Google
What a gem for Portchester! The wife and a had a few drinks as well as shared a bunch of items. Any place that has this selection of roasted veggies is a keeper. They tried to sell us on their steaks but we weren't in the mood. The Lamb Merguez was delicious as was the Harissa Beef.

Google
This restaurant deserves a perfect 10/10. The hummus was incredibly smooth and flavorful and was served with tasty and fresh bread. The pizza had a perfectly crisp crust and fresh toppings, and the potatoes were perfectly roasted and seasoned just right. The service was attentive and friendly, making the whole experience even better. Every dish impressed me, and I can’t wait to come back. Highly recommended!

Google
I’ve been several times for both dinner and brunch, and each time we’ve been delighted with the creative and delicious dishes. The space itself is awesome—super high ceilings, good ventilation, with every piece of furniture, fixtures, and art beautifully curated. They have a great eye for detail and the atmosphere is such that each visit feels like a special occasion. It somehow is both lively and also quiet enough to talk at the same time. I want to try everything on the menu. 1881 is highly recommended!

Yelp
Everything. Service was on point and the food was just incredible...topped off with the best espresso martini I have ever had. Just all-around yummy.

Yelp
1881 Kitchen Table was absolutely amazing. We have been considering going for a couple of weeks and weren't able to get same day reservations. Now that we've been, I can absolutely see why. The ambiance is great. Love the decor and it generally feels like a nice place for a date night or even just a nice night out with friends. The staff is attentive and very nice. But the food. The food was amazing. We started with the Little Mezze with the grilled bread and we also got the char grilled octopus. Both were amazing. We sat and ranked each dish on the little mezze, because it was all fantastic. Complex yet clean flavors in each dish. The eggplant was just a delightful, complex, balanced dish. The grilled octopus was possibly the best octopus I have ever had. The char had a great flavor. It was perfectly tender. We next had the schnitzel and the beet salad with salmon on top. The schnitzel was so crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The salmon was so nicely cooked on top of the salad. We saved room for dessert and had the sundae and the cheesecake and they were completely different and both stupidly good and very unique. This place was overall amazing. Homerun and one of the best dining experiences as of late and a definite must come back.

Yelp
Dined as a party of 4 on a Friday for early dinner. We ordered a few things to share, including the coconut mocktails (which were refreshing) and everyone thought that the grilled squid was the best dish of the night. We shared the burger, fish moroccan cigars (which were were informed is a new addition to their menu, and took over an hour to make from ground fish, appreciated that it was fresh, but it came well after all the entrees so timing was an issue, and would've been nice if we were given a heads up that it would come after the entrees, we were just told that it would take some time). Of the other dishes we shared, they were all ok, and we still said that we would return for the squid. High ceilings, very busy for a Friday, res recommended.

Yelp
This was our second time. Totally in love. Great service, amazing vibe. Thoughtfully decorated. Lamb kebab mint salad and French fries, roasted cauliflower, beet salad orange, Gambas, calamari nice green dipping sauce, mezzi plate I loved the hummus but the table voted the eggplant to be the star, perfect sweetness The Bread! Made in their brick oven. Please save me from myself! Lychee gin Negroni. Also deadly. Goes down so easy and then it hits you. We ordered several! Designate a driver! Make a reservation if you're coming after 6pm!

Yelp
Very cool, well decorated space. The designers did a great job honoring the age of the building (built in 1881, thus the name). We arrived for our Thursday 7:30 reservation and were seated promptly. Unfortunately, that's where the good service ended. We wound up ordering food about 45 minutes after we sat, and not from our waitress who was both nowhere and everywhere but at our table. No apologies from her when she did reappear. Alcoholic drinks came but the sparkling water had to be asked for 3 times. So bizarre. 5 of us ordered 6 starters, a salad and a pizza. Every single plate was put on our table at the same time (a table for 4, with someone at the head). Plates were overlapping each other and things were dropping. It was a mess. The ceasar salad was delicious as were the portobello mushroom small plate and the sunchoke and mushroom pizza. The flatbread that comes with the mezze bowls was so amazing that we ordered a second one. The calamari was very well cooked, as was the octopus. The cigars were very flavorful. The tuna was tender, but not very exciting. Dessert was lacking, like the service from our waitress (support staff was lovely and helpful). Will definitely return because the food was that good - just hope the service reflects the caliber of the food next time

Yelp
Came here for Sun brunch. Open at noon. They gave each tsble a complimentary Mezze Bowl which is delicious. We order hummus (have to take it to go), burger and shakshuka (also comes with bread and hummus). Everything is so tasty and made just right, while service is top notch. We also love the decor, so much to look at and admire. Is our 3rd time here and will be our go to place.

Yelp
A wonderful meal! We had a delightful experience from the moment that we entered the restaurant. The space is inviting and comfortable. The cocktails are creative and tasty. We shared multiple small plates and a pizza: - the wood-fired Shishito Peppers were nicely charred and salty. - the spice profile of the Moroccan Cigars was interesting. - the flatbread and Smoked Labneh was delicious. The flatbread alone was memorable. - The Potatoes in the Lahmajoun Pizza, combined with the Mediterranean Spices are a reason to return! The service was helpful and efficient, even though the restaurant was crowded.

Yelp
Great food choices, great vibes and perfect for bringing clients/friends. I will definitely be back on my next trip up north. The place gets extremely busy, but the service was timely throughout. We ordered a number of various tapas. All were outstanding. The place is a bit noisy when trying to have a more quite conversation, but a great happy vibe in the place.

Yelp
(Edited) Great food and atmosphere, elegant decor. Easy parking is a bonus! Every dish is very flavorful and creative. We came here for brunch, and ordered hummus, shakshuka, schnitzel, lahmajoun pizza and another pizza. Hummus and shakshuka came with home-baked bread. Definitely get them. Bread was so fresh out of the oven I almost burned my fingertips tearing off pieces. Lahmajoun pizza using Mediterranean spices makes this dish a completely unique creation. And don't forget desserts! The Silan Sundae was very good. All for a very reasonable price. We are definitely coming back very soon. Reservation is a must. The place was packed for Sunday brunch. Parking Tip: There is a spacious parking lot in the back of the building. You can not enter the restaurant from the back door. Free parking on Sunday! There are also free parking available in the lot in front of Colony Grille off Abendroth Ave, which is a bit more walk.

Yelp
So bad, it's negative stars. From the start it's a beautiful space and there is a large bar on the left as you walk in and that's where the positives end. The service is UNACCEPTABLE! People feel uncomfortable with how rude the staff, bartender and host are. It's completely unacceptable to treat people in a restaurant the way the staff does. If you stay long enough for a drink or food it's even more disappointing. Food is average, service is poor and there is ZERO ambience/music/ happiness. Not worth time, energy or the space it's in. Owner/Management listen: fire your staff and start over. I won't be back + neither will anyone with common sense. Better options in port Chester than this rat hole.

Yelp
Food. Service. Ambiance. All were fantastic. Food was delicious; the kitchen knocked it out of the park. Staff was friendly, and the restaurant was busy but not too loud. I love this place.

Yelp
This place is new and is SOOOO good!!! Everything single dish we ordered was delicious and I was guided by other Yelpers and their reviews. The decor is sorta industrial farm and almost romantic too. Staff are friendly and checked in with us regularly. The owner came by to thank us for coming and asked how our experience was. The bartender is serious about his craft. The cocktails were deceivingly strong. They did not taste it! Great flavors and I love the dried fruit garnishes. The bread they bake is to die for!! And the dips are all delicious; some familiar and some new. I liked all of them, especially the green herby one that reminded me of chimichurri but so much better. Grilled octopus was so tender and perfectly grilled. The beef cigars had wonderfully seasoned beef inside a crispy roll that was not greasy. Yum!! We had a salad, and I do feel the cheese was excessive...but we still ate all of it! The lamb pizza...oh yes! I've never had toppings like this on a pizza. And the crust was perfectly chewy and crispy. Roasted chicken had so much flavor and was tender and juicy. Call it perfect. And the broccoli rabe with potatoes on the side were demolished. Lastly we had this coconut dessert that tasted like it had some form of peanut butter. I literally stuffed it into my full belly. Great flavors. Many options. Fun drinks. Cool atmosphere. Must GO!! We are definitely going again to sample some things that we just did not have enough space in our stomachs for!! Burger is next for sure.

Yelp
Food was excellent with great varied selections. Service was top notch and restaurant was beautifully appointed. Highly recommended

Yelp
Such an awesome experience! Each time I visit 1881, I'm more impressed. We were a group of six so we shared a lot of things. We of course split the mezze platter, which was phenomenal. We ended up getting more of that amazing bread since one was not enough. For apps, the merguez lamb was a standout. Spicy and tasty, it was such a good start! Everyone also enjoyed the tuna and Hamachi dish. For main courses, the ribeye was perfect! We also split a burger among a few of us. It was a phenomenal burger! Finally we ended with a cheesecake that was quite literally one of the best cheesecakes I've ever had. The table agreed with that assessment. Overall a fantastic experience with amazing food. M

Yelp
Went when just opened and enjoyed. Will be trying again this summer soon Nice ambiance great decor, good food.

Yelp
The place is beautiful! Owners are very kind. Drinks were great. Food was innovative and fresh. I personally don't like fennel and it was a little fennel heavy for me, but I'd go back and try more! Give this one a go!!!!!
google avatar

Teresa M.

Yelp
The food here was bland, atmosphere was lovely, drinks were tiny and mediocre at best. Price is too high for what they are offering. Of course, if the prices were what they are and the food was excellent, this won't be an issue because they would show the value. But this is absolutely not the case here. I think people go for the ambience, which to me is important, but in this case not worth it. We had a nice waiter initially who took our drinks order, but it seems that the waiters switch around and then for most of our dinner we had an another waiter who seemed to feel too good to be a serving us, making it a more unpleasant experience.

Yelp
I am so excited I found this amazing restaurant. The style and decor is "warehouse chic". Such a cool space in Port Chester. I actually wish our table had been larger so we could have ordered more to try. The service started slowly as we awaited our cocktails, but picked up as the evening continued. I highly recommend 1881 Kitchen!

Yelp
After attending their opening night 1year ago.. it was time for an updated review. HAPPILY: the food, service and ambiance remain FABULOUS! Creative and delicious apps, interesting, well prepared and diverse mains, excellent bar and last but not least, owner/ hostess Jennifer who pulls it all together in the most gracious of ways. Make your way to 1881...you will NOT be disappointed. A reservation is suggested.

Vitalii P.

Yelp
A true gem in Port Chester, especially if you're serious about steak. The dry-aged ribeye was exceptional--rich, buttery, and perfectly charred. Every bite was perfection. They dry-age their steaks in-house with Himalayan salt, and you can actually see the cuts aging! The Old Fashioned was spot-on: smooth, balanced, and crafted with care, pairing perfectly with the depth of the steak. The ambiance blends historic charm with modern style, and the staff makes you feel right at home. If you're looking for a place to enjoy a top-tier dry-aged steak with a classic cocktail, 1881 Kitchen Table is it.

Alexandra K.

Yelp
I just made a reservation at 1881 Kitchen Table (so excited to go!) and spoke with this WONDERFUL hostess, Skylar, who was so helpful, professional, and a delight to speak with. Definitely ask for her when you call!! :)

Yelp
We had a wonderful experience and evening at 1881. Very crowded Saturday night but able to score two seats at the bar. Some of the bar seat locations are better than others given the proximity to the front door and some pretty close tables. None the less, the bar is a great place for 1-2 people and the service at the bar is top notch. Three people behind the bar that night and everyone was happy to take an order, make a drink, get you some extra bread, whatever. Cocktails are good. Go for something "traditional" like martini or manhattan verses a mule. Beer selection "okay" but the food is better paired with wine and cocktails anyway. The hummus was fantastic but even better was the bread it came with. Outstanding. The lamb kebab was a great main dish but was surpassed by the branzino. Hands down the largest serving of branzino we have ever seen or been served and the prep and taste were phenomenal. Best branzino ever and we order it a lot. Only downside, the place is pretty expensive but what isn't today and at least it is well worth it. Go and enjoy

Yelp
Great meal great vibe great service Limited menu but the food is fabulous prepared with very flavorful ingredients making your taste buds come alive will be back

Yelp
Went here for the first time 2 weeks ago. The owner and manager are extremely accommodating. Treated me and my friends like family. Just went for drinks. Can't wait to go back and try the dry aged tomahawk looks money . Ambiance is spot on and crowd is mature, professional and attractive. Great spot!!

Yelp
Went to dinner being in the neighborhood. Called the place up and the receptionist was nice enough to hold a table for 2 upon entering we seated right away, loved the vibe, atheistic of the place and was hoping the food can match. Our waiter promptly arrived , no specials and was pretty straight to the point. They require you to order all the food at once. Ordered the cigars, artichoke pizza and the brick chicken. All were good, the bummer no French fries....not a big thing but who runs out of French fries at 8:45pm on a Friday night. Some advice to the kitchen no restaurants runs out of fries....no matter how busy it is. Anyway overall good experience, parking is rather difficult to find which made us a few mins late. Would return to try other items.

Carl F.

Yelp
Another great meal! Wait staff, food quality and over all vibe were top notch. We went small plates tonite and had great lamb, calamari, shrimp and french fries- all packed amazing flavor. For desert we had the silan sundae with shredded halva on top- incredible. This place really has a lot of game.

Yelp
I finally tried this gem, and I'm so glad I did! Eugene's Diner used to be in this space, and I wanted to see how they redesigned it and the food. The ambiance is very modern and chic. We were beyond pleased with every course. The lamb pizza is a standout. Fantastic flavor with Middle Eastern spices. The Mezze dips and flatbread are a must. Recommend two orders if you have more than three people because the dips and bread are fantastic. The steaks were well seasoned and good a perfect medium rare. We received complimentary champagne and Crème brûlée; both were delicious.

Yelp
Food was incredible as was service and place is impeccably done! Ambiance very good with open kitchen and good buzz. So many flavors the waitress was right on everything she recommended. Truly a new gem!

Ronak K.

Yelp
Food was good but over priced.Drinks were definitely over priced beeeee careful with liquor price .. Don't forget it's just PORTCHESTER .. not NY city , not CT . Just port Chester prices should not be that expensive.. Just see how long they last in business for the price they are charging us and also frinks were so small ..

Bonni O.

Yelp
First time visiting this restaurant. Amazing!! The restaurant is beautiful. Great vibe, although a little noisy. Our server Joey was helpful, courteous, friendly and attentive. The food was amazing and plentiful portions. We were four people and each ordered something different. The Bronzino ,one of the best I've had and the mezh platter too. They make there own dough so the bread, although you have to order it is worth the price. The pizzas looked good . Maybe next time Don't pass on the sundae for dessert!!! We all shared it. Will definitely be back

Molly T.

Yelp
The food here was so good and so flavorful. We got the little mezze bowls, moroccan cigars, and calamari as appetizers. They were all amazing the but the mezze bowls were the best! For entree's my friend and I split the lahmajoun pizza and the 1881 baby gem salad. The spiced beef on the pizza was so delicious and the salad was great too! highly recommend this place!
google avatar

Gail L.

Yelp
first, the restaurant was gorgeous. A Moroccan vibe with natural woods and beautiful floors. Everyone was so friendly. The owner of the restaurant came over to us to make sure we were having a fabulous time and took care of us the entire night. The menu was extensive and interesting. Everything we tried, which was many things was so good. The bread for $10 seems very high but so worth it the best bread I've had in my life run to this restaurant.

Yelp
Exquisite Mediterranean food. Went on a Tuesday and it felt and looked like it was a Friday night. The ambience was very NYC-like. Drinks were amazing too.

Yelp
Remarkable interiors, ambiance and a great menu. This place is fantastic for date nights or large group dinners.

Yelp
Just had some appetizers at the bar everything was amazing food, cocktails and ambience, service was very good!! I can't wait to go back for some main courses!!!

Yelp
We went to celebrate our anniversary. The staff, upon learning this, went out of their way to add to the occasion. They even gave us complimentary champagne. As for the food, the appetizer mix was wonderful, the chicken was remarkably moist and delicious, while the burger was unfortunately a bit overcooked. The coconut dessert was a light treat. Prices and the noise level were high, but it's a fun spot if you don't mind those things, perhaps before a show at the Capitol. (The building is great).

Nicole S.

Yelp
I went to the soft opening of 1881 Kitchen Table. I could not believe the beauty in every detail of the restaurant from the light fixtures, to the wooden tables, to the zinc bar, to the custom designed booths... the hardware, the fixtures and the atmosphere ... it is all so stunning. And the food is decadent- beautifully plated, perfectly portioned and amazing flavors. I wanted to eat more but I was so stuffed. Lastly the staff was so pleasant, helpful and conscious of our needs. Amazing experience with delicious food. Well worth the drive from Jersey!!

Randi G.

Yelp
Pros: Great atmosphere. The menu is solid. The food is mostly really good, with some exceptions. The fried calamari is gluten free which was a treat for me. The silan sundae dessert was delicious. The shrimp were very tasty. Cons: The prices are very steep for what it is. Three of us shared 4 small plates, 1 salad, 1 main, 2 desserts, 3 coffees and 4 glasses of wine. With tax and tip our bill came to $379. Those are steakhouse prices. And having lived in NYC for over 10 years, it's hard to give us sticker shock at a restaurant. The shrimp small plate was $26 for 3 shrimp, I was charged $6 for a club soda, we were charged $18 for 3 decaf coffees (not lattes despite what our bill said), $32 for a very mushy octopus small plate, $24 for a kale salad with no protein, and $22 for about 3/4 of a cup of bland beets. While we had a decent experience, we weren't blown away enough at that price point to return.

Lisa W.

Yelp
Love this place- it's pretty, warm and everything was delicious. We split a salad and a few tapas -garlic shrimp was wonderful- also loved the cauliflower. They were great with my gluten allergy and I had lots of options. Couldn't try the pizza but it looked and smelled wonderful. Will definitely be back.

Paul T.

Yelp
So here's the deal. Some of the food was actually good but some just so-so. But the reason for my 3 star review is as follows: - The prices are way too high for a place like this. $18 for a basic mixed drink, $6 for a club soda, $28 for a small appetizer pizza, $33 for a hamburger, $34 for a Caesar salad with grilled shrimp. Just too high for a place like this. - They cram in way too many tables for a restaurant of this size. If you're claustrophobic - don't eat here. - Some things they do just aren't well thought out. For example, the Caesar salad, the lettuce is served in full leaves - not cut at all, and the salad is served on a plate, not a bowl. So when you attempt to cut the full leaves, they slide off the plate, since the plate is so crowded. Not smart. If they lowered their prices a bit I'd come back, but not on a Saturday night. My two-cents.

Nekole B.

Yelp
$32 BURGER!!!!!!! $3 extra for a slice of cheese!! $16 BEER!!!!!! Allagash $16!!!!! All beer prices were $15-$20. REISLING $17 & super small pour. This is NOT NYC - NOT GREENWICH It's Port Chester LOL Great service.

Yelp
The service was excellent from beginning to end. Beautiful restaurant and loved the food

Yelp
First time dining here was the end of August after much anticipation and it did not disappoint. From the first point of contact through every step of dinner and drinks service, food, ambiance everything was on point. It was extremely busy our waitress informed us that the rush would begin but at no point did she lose her commitment to delivering a great experience even while under pressure. Since then we have been eager to return and excited about this addition to the neighborhood. Finally, we visited again this week and the restaurant was no where near as packed. Service has already declined and the staff has clearly all changed. How this translates: we sat at the bar for no less than 10 mins waiting and then asking for service and nothing not even a glance or smile. When this was brought to the manager's attention discreetly the staff and manager did attempt to redeem themself. But even after the non existent service we were receiving was brought to their attention the interactions felt disingenuous. The lack of acknowledgment and service was said to be attributed to the pre-show crowd yet the bar was not even packed and neither was the restaurant-Especially in comparison to our first visit. Also, please note Capital theater has shows pretty much every night of the week. To sit at a bar while the bartenders clearly ignore you numerous times yet smile in the faces of others is beyond blatant lack of care about optics, respect and basic customer service. Ultimately, sometimes it's not always about location but rather the company you are with so we made the best of the evening. Return visit? Extremely unlikely. With many options to choose from return visits and money spent go to establishments that value and acknowledge ALL customers. My advice: The Bar & Restaurant 10-Step Customer Service System might be a good place to start.

Maria M.

Yelp
Too loud! Prices are very high and the food is mediocre. The service was not bad but took too long.

Jennifer L.

Yelp
Amazing all around- exceptional food, service and decor. Exciting vibe, welcoming staff, and dishes that are so fresh and unique!

Ron T.

Yelp
This is a beautiful space-elegant yet fun. Service was excellent. We were a group of 9 and started with appetizers to share at the table. The Wood-Fired Shishito Peppers, Calamari and Hummus were excellent. the rest of the table loved the Moroccan Cigars which I thought were good. We all thought the Fire Roasted Cauliflower were OK. My entrees were Portobello Steak which had too heavy a sauce that overwhelmed the portobellos. Also had the carrot/parsnips were were overdone and mushy. Reviews of the Lahmajoun Pizza and Octopus were below expectations. Didn't hear anyone give an opinion on the chicken or lamb kebobs. The burger was rated as excellent.

Alison Y.

Yelp
I'll start with the broccoli rabe since it's in the first photo I see here. It is amazing. A ridiciously addicting mixture of garlicky-olive oil-salt-other seasoning goodness. I will go back and beg the restaurant to serve that to me as a main course, not just a side that goes with the under-a-brick chicken, which is also knockout good and will bring me back for another visit. The mezze platter is a great place to start for your first visit. Snack on that while you make your way through the beer and cocktail list and plot out your entree order. Get the lamb pizza, too. Be sure to notice the epic wagon wheel over the bar, the exposed brick walls, other decor details. A lot of attention to detail went into this location!

Yelp
Food was out of this world . Every appetizer and entree was perfect. Service was spot on. Owner was coming to our table to check on us over and over. Incredible ambience - industrial modern chic interior - great date night or even whole family w/kids event venue . Most importantly high quality, fresh and healthy food done right.

Yelp
This is our second time at 1881 and again, it did not disappoint. The ambience, the food, and the service are outstanding. Today, we ordered the NY strip steak (large enough for two), and it was incredible! Cooked just right with a fantastic crust, and finished with Maldon sea salt. We love a great steak! We will definitely be back.
