"The best steak in Westchester doesn’t come from a traditional steakhouse. It’s at 1881 Kitchen Table, a large restaurant with industrial vibes that opened in Port Chester in late 2024. The menu jumps across the globe and leans a little Mediterranean, with much of it taking advantage of the giant, wood fired oven that’s prominently on display. But, about those steaks. There are three large cuts of black angus beef on the menu, all of which are dry aged onsite and served oh-so simply with sea salt, butter, and a sprig of rosemary. Each comes out of that fiery oven with a lightly charred crust, and they all taste like beef nirvana, with no sauce menu or wagyu tutorial needed to seal the deal. Given its location, 1881 Kitchen Table is a solid option before a show at the Capitol Theatre." - Mike Wasserman
