Been enjoying their falafel sandwich — a touch of spice & utterly unique in my experience — on trips back to NYC from my various homes in the Middle East for years. But the greatest thing about this place had always been the infectious energy of its bartender, Chris, who is the closest thing to a restaurant MC I’ve ever encountered! Life of the party, full of positivity, and always ensures I leave feeling not just satisfied with my food & bev, but feeling better about life in general 😂❤️

First time eating here and Zara didn’t steer me wrong! She recommended the chicken schnitzel with the sides of mash purée and broccolini and it was sooo good! I took the rest home because I couldn’t finish it all but I couldn’t wait to eat it the next day!😋❤️

Food was on the pricey side for brunch (not shocking for Nolita), but delicious. All made worth it by my amazing waiter CHRIS. Hilarious server who absolutely lit up the restaurant on a slower Tuesday afternoon. He was very attentive and helpful with menu selections. Come over and cross your fingers that Chris greets you.

Each dish was perfection ✨ the ceviche and tomato hummus were the perfect start. The steak was unbelievable. The lamb ragú was also bursting with flavor. I would go here just for the fresh pita.

This is a gem of a place! The food and vibe were do great! Nearly every dish was great and liked by our group. The starters were very tasty and plentiful, and I especially liked the hummus, the falafel and the beet salad. As for the main dishes, I didn't taste everything but the group liked the schnitzel and the chicken skewers. For me it was actually the non Mediterranean dish that was amazing - the burger! So juicy and exactly the right amount of sauce, cooked to perfection. And the fries could be the highlight by themselves. Highly recommend! As for the atmosphere, it's a great vibe in a non presumptuous setting. It was a little warm until the fans were turned on, and the chairs could be a bit more comfortable, but that's about it. Overall highly recommended and we'll definitely visit again!!

Amazing experience from start to finish. The food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared, every dish hit the mark. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, perfect for a relaxed meal or a special night out. Chris truly made the experience stand out. Attentive, friendly, and genuinely cared that we were happy the entire time. He anticipated what we needed without hovering and made us feel like valued guests, not just another table. We’ll definitely be back. Highly recommend this restaurant and ask for Chris if you can.

Well let's see.. you walk into a restaurant with hunger pain and decide " I just want a sandwich". I step into 19 Cleveland and planned to do that. It's a lovely Mediterranean oasis with cool wall art, great music and good people watching. I'm seated and given a pitcher of water and then the hard part.. Falafel? Hummus? Eggplant? I decided on schnitzel on a pita with a fresh squeezed lemonade with mint. My wait was short and I took one look at my Sammie and thought.. it's as big as the Coliseum in Rome. Can I? Do I dare? I take one bite of this and wow! The chicken fried to perfection and the hummus, tomato and onions deliver an impactful delicious punch. My waitress sees me put it on a small plate to slice it in half. She says " Let me get you a bigger plate". Well um.. yeah.. I'm going to need that! At that point on I fork and knifed it.. it was delicious in smaller bites. The lemonade was tart and fresh and help wash it all down. 19 Cleveland Place offers other Mediterranean delights and even owns the Bambina Gelato place next to it. Now I know why they have a sofa, so I can pass out comfy after eating my schnitzel! Lol!

Bright Mediterranean Spot with an Israeli inspired menu of classics and rare finds. From their brunch menu, I tried Jerusalem Focaccia, Local Burrata, Shakshuka and Jachnoun. The food is fresh and tasty, especially the bread is great. Overall a good experience but nothing extraordinary. Service is top notch & friendly. Ambiance is lively and brunchy.

Came here yesterday after doing a bunch of walking around soho with my significant other . We're tired of the traditional American food , so we've been branching out to try other cultures dishes (we're Caribbean/American) . We walked into this restaurant and it was surprisingly quiet , not really a lot of customers here so we were happy to come around this time ( we came around 330-4pm ) . They have seating both inside and outside. The ambiance of the restaurant was really beautiful and relaxing . We were seated by a table that was close to the bar , in the corner . Customer service was very friendly and inviting . We were seated with room temperature mint/lemon/cucumber water which was very refreshing to have. We started off with fried calamari which was so fresh! The calamari came with a spicy Tabasco sauce and aioli sauce . My significant other normally doesn't eat calamari but I was raving to him about how good it was , he decided to try it . Needless to say, him and I ate every piece of calamari on that plate ! For entrees , I had their Calamarati Pasta ( which doesn't come with any protein ) and my significant other had their Greek Lamp chops. The Calamarati pasta was goooood! You can tell the noodles and the sauce was made fresh ! Plus I enjoyed the bread crumbs that were on the pasta because it gave it a nice Crunch . My significant other loved their lamp chops. It was grilled with baby potatoes that were cooked to perfection . The lamp chops came with like a Greek yoghurt sauce on the side , which we both didn't really care for . We didn't have any alcoholic beverages because I'm pregnant and it was very hot outside . All in all , I experience here was amazing and we'll definitely be back . My only complaint was the big dog ( I believe it was a Chow Chow ) that was walking around the restaurant off the leash . He sat at our ( nose on the table ) waiting for food . I don't allow my dog to that at home so it was very unpleasant trying to enjoy my meal while someone else dog freely sat at my table watching us eat & waiting for someone to feed him .

For a Mother's day party of 8 I was a little skeptical, but every one enjoyed their food and beverages. The noisy restaurant was surprisingly easy to have conversations. The wait staff is very sweet and knowledgeable. The French toast was delicious, the hamburger was enjoyed, the falafel, and hummus with other salads were terrific. The bloody mary spicy, but not crazy.

This was one of the BEST spots in NY I've been to for brunch hands down. I was torn on what to order because as dishes kept coming out to the tables around us, everything looked so good. The pickles were an absolute must so I could take them home and snack on them later. I can't say enough about how good both our meals were. We opted to sit outside because it was a beautiful day which luckily didn't effect service but inside was equally adorable. I'd probably opt to sit inside next time to change up the experience. I will 100% be back next time I'm there.

If I can give 10 stars I would!! My waiter was so pleasant. The food was delicious, everything was made fresh!!! The portions are filling. The drinks hit and the bartender look like a model . As I sip my drink in the outdoor seating area and enjoy the ambiance of the neighborhood! I definitely recommend this amazing hidden jewel in soho!

Wow this place is awesome. Great vibe, friendly staff, good wine selection, and just a really nice place overall. All the food is delicious but the hummus is really something special. Highly recommend!

So much potential, but no happy ending! A group of us went to 19 Cleveland and we were so excited because we all love Israeli food. I give 19 Cleveland the following rating: Food - 5 Ambiance - 5 Service - 0 Here is the reason for the above rating. As you enter the restaurant you can't help notice the fantastic retro vibe; from the records on the wall to the "On Air" neon sign hanging over the bar, it is the quintessential NYC atmosphere that you want out of a restaurant. The food is not only appetizing, but is also visually stunning; here are the items that our table had: - Grilled Halloumi Cheese (this was a table favorite, the honey glaze is to die for!) - French Fries (The table needed two baskets - okay, I needed two baskets, so unreal I can't stop thinking about them) - Gnocchi Istanbul (I literally licked the plate clean! Everything from the spinach to the almonds were perfection). - Safta's Chicken Schnitzel (my friend said it was cooked to perfection and the mash potatoes were excellent) - 19 Hamburger (looked amazing and my friend ate every bite, so I would say that is a win!) - Greek Lamb Chops (A healthy portion of three, the tzatziki sauce was so delicious, I kept dipping my fries in) Everything was going so great, the table kept ordering cocktails and my friends and I were having a good catchup session... and then the service took a turn for the worst. 1. The second order of fries did not come until the very end of our meal (An excuse was made that "this is why you have to order everything at once") I am sorry, if can still eat I should be able to order a simple order of fries. 2. The server came over and put the bill down and said "the table is timed and you need to hurry up", we wanted to order another round of drinks, and we were never offered the dessert menu). The server hovered over our table and harassed us to ensure we left the restaurant. We spent over $300 dollars and did not ask for much during our visit, the least 19 Cleveland could do is provide good service and not make your guests feel like they are putting out the restaurant by being there. With so many places in NYC with equally as good food, you would think that you would try to stand out with great service. My friends and I will not be returning to this establishment as we will not put up with mediocre service that leaves an awful taste in your mouth.

Had some great drinks (arak which like sambuca and great Israeli beer), and the best humus this side of Israel.

I made a last minute reservation for dinner here one night, and there was plenty of availability. The service was fairly fast and attentive when we arrived. We got the tomato garlic hummus to start, and omg wow. One of the best hummuses I've ever had. You definitely can't skip the hummus and fresh pita here. For my main, I ordered the duck tacos. These had really great reviews, but I will say I wasn't super impressed by them personally. The duck was a little dry for my taste (but clearly it tasted better to others, so to each their own). I would still return, but I might try a different main next time.

My falafel burger arrived with a side of perfectly cooked fries, and every bite was a burst of deliciousness. My husband's chicken shawarma dish, which came with a side of salad, also received high marks. The flavors were on point, and he thoroughly enjoyed it. Beyond the delectable food and friendly service, the restaurant's ambiance stood out. It offered a welcoming and eclectic atmosphere that added to the charm of our meal. If you want to support a great small business with incredible food look no further- everything we got was incredible and the service was great.

Came here for a family members birthday and we really enjoyed the food. We came on a Friday night (at 7pm) and the place was bumping and loud, so you'll definitely want to be mindful of that type of setting. Food-wise, we got a few different dishes to split, with our favorites being the octopus, hummus with chicken, and the ramp carbonara special. We also got a few cocktails, and the table favorite was the Clover club. The service was friendly but a little chaotic. The restaurant clearly didn't read my notes or even acknowledge that the reservation was made for a birthday (not expecting anything food / drink-wise, but a "hey happy birthday, we are happy you chose to celebrate with us" would've made the dinner feel more special). Overall - would come back for a date night or fun night out to catch up with friends, but probably not for a special occasion.

Came here for a solo late lunch and sat at the bar. The place has a very fun atmosphere and it feels like you're hanging out at someone's house party almost. I had a delicious spicy passion fruit margarita and then the chicken skewer, which was amazing and very well seasoned. I had a great espresso after my meal (always good to know there is an espresso machine). Love this place for good food and fun vibes!

I came here with a party of 4 on a Saturday around 11am. We were able to get seated but were given an hour to eat which was fine with us since we didn't have a reservation. 2 of us ordered the boureka and the other 2 ordered the hummus. I ordered the tomato garlic hummus and it was delicious!! I especially loved the garlic pieces. The pitas that came with the hummus (2 pieces per hummus) were warm and so soft. It was surprisingly filling because the hummus was creamy. The bourekas were pretty tiny for the price point. It was definitely not filling for the other two so they had to get more food somewhere else. The bourekas were tasty but not sure if it's worth the price.

The hummus is in fact delicious and comes with a generous portion. However, that's about the only thing they are generous with portion wise especially for the price. The mushroom cigar was $19 for one small skinny piece. You're essentially paying for the tahini. $37 for 3 small lamb chops that were average that once again came with a much larger container of tzatziki. All of this extra dip would be great with pita right? They'll charge you for extra. I also ordered the $22 stuffed sardine special but got a $26 dish of plainly fried sardines and fries. The prices might be more reasonable for brunch but my group was very disappointed at the quality for the price point of dinner.

Randomly stopped for a light bite and drink before heading to a baseball game. The place is very cute vibe and staff is very welcoming. They have us two free falafel balls as an appetizer and I order the octopus salad which was cooked to prefection. It was a good portion and light to eat. My partner has a jack and coke and I had their red wine to accompany it. The ambiance is very chill and romantic, would recommend to others try.

Brunch at 19 Cleveland was everything!!! The staff are amazing, super friendly and fun. The food is unique and so mouthwateringly delicious. Ambiance is hip, bright and lively. I'd go back again and again, it was just that good!

This place is amazing!!! I rarely go to a restaurant twice in NYC unless I really enjoy it and I couldn't wait to come back. Items I've tried and recommend: - duck tacos (a must have!) so juicy and flavorful - chicken schnitzel (probably one of the best schnitzel I've ever had, even the mashed potato that comes with it is to die for) - gnocchi so good - their falafel!! Best I've ever had, truly. And i don't even like falafel but it was so nicely crispy on the outside

The hummus is what dreams are made of! My absolute favorite hummus from a restaurant. Fries & fatush salad are classics here! Vibes are great, service is fine but food makes up for it! definitely make a resy

The place was very pretty. Thought it was odd they did cancellation fee considering it's just a normal restaurants. Services was good. Couldn't really tell what concept this place was going for they had Mediterranean items but also pasta. But really enjoyed the burrata it was creamy, sweet, spicy etc. the gnocchi was pretty good too and the chicken schwarma was okay. It was a very large pita but the flavors didn't stick for me. Then it's end up soggy.

I ordered to go. I got the burrata, ceviche, papardelle. The burrata was okay. Ceviche and the papardelle was really good. I would definitely recommend eating here. I ordered over the phone and they told me 15-20 minutes. I got there at 20 minutes. But had to wait about 45 minutes or more. The food and ambiance seem great when I went to pickup. But I think they didn't do the order until I arrived to pay for it. I waited in front and outside for it. And the front person had to go check 2-3 times while I was there waiting the whole time. If I called in advance to pickup it should be ready. It felt like they only started it when I got there. A burrata and ceviche doesn't take long. You don't need to cook it. Only thing that needs to be cooked is the paradelle which is pasta. It does not take 45 mins to cook that. I would come back to try the food in person. But that was ridiculous for the wait. The front staff at the counter was not that friendly. Just kept avoiding my gaze as I'm waiting. Or else I would have given the papardelle a 4 star and the ceviche also. The burrata was soso.

Great service and the food was delicious! Had the fish shawarma and duck tacos. Food came very quickly and the pancake like taco was incredible. Outdoor seating was really nice and you receive a scratch off card to win a prize at the ice cream shop next door! We won a free mini ice cream cone :) highly recommend

Noms: Delicious Mediterranean at a cute place! Ordered the tomato garlic hummus which came with pita bread. The hummus was pretty good, but the pita bread was so so delicious and thick! Ended up filling me for 2 meals so the price was worth it. Looks/Service: Cute brunch place and perfect for bringing visitors/for tourists. Staff was friendly.

I accidentally made the reservation on the wrong night and they were so accommodating. Our server Aviv was amazing and brought us free rounds of shots! There was a magician. I couldn't ask for anything more! Highly recommend!!

TLDR: A fun and fresh spot for Israeli fare! I highly recommend ordering the hummus with rotisserie chicken. It was absolutely delicious and packed a flavorful punch with every bite. The baba ghanoush was refreshing but wish that it was served with pita instead of stand alone.

Was super excited to finally get a reservation at 19 cleveland and came with a friend! We ordered a mix of dishes to share which were kind of hit or miss. The hit was 1000% the rotisserie chicken hummus - the chicken was flavorful and juicy and the hummus was so so creamy and rich with amazing flavor. It was perfect with the warm pita. Would definitely go back for this dish only!! We also shared the smoked eggplant which was their take on babaghanoush. It was definitely good but quite expensive. We decided to share the lamb tortellini special ($28 for a tiny plate) which was not great. The pasta was thick and dry. The meat itself was also a bit dry and needed the sauce, which was pretty flavorful and good. Definitely not worth the price. The space felt super cramped and small which I did not enjoy, but is cute. I would come back for brunch but maybe not dinner!! Will be thinking about that hummus, which is what bumped up the rating for sure.

Super cute spot in soho! Stopped here for lunch after a busy morning. The place is super cute, the weather was great so we sat outside. The ceviche was my favorite, super tasty and had lots of flavor. We actually enjoyed dipping the pita bread in it! The hummus has a beautiful presentation but it lacked flavor. It's very nutty and a little bland. The roasted tomatoes were a nice touch. The chicken was also very flavorful. Definitely on the salty side though. Regardless it was a filling meal for sure. We were very full. It's on the pricier side for a lunch spot since the portions (ceviche & hummus) were pretty small.

I ordered the Chicken Schnitzel($27). It came with a very nice side salad. It also came with mashed potatoes. They tasted boxed, but not as good as when I make boxed potatoes at home. The chicken schnitzel was good. It was very thin and very crispy. The texture was perfect. I might be in the minority but I think it would be much better with some kind of side sauce. I just think it needed more of something for me to feel it was worth the $27, but the bigger issue is that it was just a lackluster meal. I wouldn't order the Chicken Schnitzel again. If I ever do come back, it might be for one of their specials. Those seem to be well put together from what I noticed on other peoples plates. But I do not think I will eat here again. Still, it's a nice clean spot that's probably worth eating at again if I'm in a pinch. They had some healthier looking meal options.

Perfect place for a big group dinner. Fun atmosphere, fun drinks, easy shareable food. The hamachi ceviche and hummus really shined with my group while we finished off the evening with shots! The staff was very helpful especially in what seemed to be a more upbeat environment. We will definitely be coming back! I've walked in a bunch of times here now-- always consistently good and vivacious energy! We came after some shopping for a late lunch Sunday. I always get the same thing... chicken rotisserie hummus because it's so delicious. I need to force myself to change it up next time. We also got the chicken skewers which were cooked so perfectly I was quite surprised. Ooooh and the fries!!! You must order some.. perfect thin and crispy. Drinks and food are reasonably priced. Will be back here many more times I'm sure

Went for a birthday with a large group of people doing a pre-fix menu. We split apps from humus, falafel, ceviche, burrata etc. Really loved the ceviche was nice and fresh! For mains had gnocchi, cauliflower, branzino, and schnitzel to split amongst the group. My favorite was the branzino. Lastly topped it off with a white cake. Overall was really lovely and enjoyed the food. Service was good especially with the group we had. Recommend -cute atmosphere - nice servers - had the whole downstairs for large group -preset menu - lots of options on the menu which was great - did 2 drink,1 shot with apps/dinner/dessert -loved ceviche and branizo fish (fish person) - other food was good too - fast pace for amount of food dishes and coordination

19 Cleveland is a long-time favorite of mine and I've enjoyed several tasty lunches at this Soho gem.   The laid-back atmosphere and music are a welcome reprieve from the hustle-and-bustle of SoHo. The staff is friendly and relaxed but this doesn't diminish from a quick and efficient dining experience.  I have tasted several items on the weekday lunch menu and everything has been delicious.   My latest lunch selection: Grilled Chicken Sandwich with a salad - This is one of the most delicious grilled chicken sandwiches I have eaten

What a cool spot to have dinner! We made a res for Friday night and it was pretty packed with a super trendily dressed crowd (great place to get fancy). My lamb dish was on the drier & fattier side but they have INCREDIBLE hummus. Highly recommend to get it with the veggies, which are a variety of carrots, radish, fennel, tomatoes, etc. Drinks are great as well. They had a magician do tricks from table to table so that was a fun surprise!

Sat the table by the window and had the best waiter EVER. He was so sweet and honestly an icon. I will be coming back and hope I see him again!
